I've been in vegas for 4 days now and my race is tomorrow. We have the qualifying this evening to see where abouts on the grid I will be starting. The practice sessions have been going really well and I have adapted to the car pretty quickly and I even managed to get the fastest lap in the most recent session.

Me and Lizzie have been calling whenever we are both free and god I can't express how much I miss her. My phone buzzes breaking me from my thoughts and when I see an incoming FaceTime from her my smile widens even more as I answer.

Y/n: There's that gorgeous face

Lizzie: such a charmer, how you feeling about the race ? I've been watching all your practice sessions

Y/n: no nerves at all. After getting the fastest lap in practice I feel like I'm used to the car and just need to aim for top 4 tomorrow.

Lizzie: I'm so proud of you. I don't know how you don't get whiplash

Y/n: I have a strong neck you should know this

Lizzie: be quiet. Anyways I have some news.

Y/n: spill the beans babe

Lizzie: in one of todays classes we had to perform a monologue and they had a director watching and after my performance he pulled me aside and said he wants to offer me an audition for a movie called Martha Marcy May Marlene!

Y/n: Holy shit! That's amazing when do you go and where is it?

Lizzie: it's in 2 weeks and the best part about it is that the filming location is New York so I don't have to travel.

Y/n: that's great love I'll take you out when I'm home so we can celebrate. Scar and Chris can join if you'd like

Lizzie: they can skip this one I want you alone when you get back

Someone's desperate. Who knew my Lizzie was a sinner.

Lizzie: so are you telling me you don't miss sleeping with me?

Y/n: I miss it more than anything and if I think about it I'm pretty sure I'll end up with blue balls.

Lizzie: I can always send you some material

Y/n: would you now?

Lizzie: of course I would. I'm assuming your as desperate as I am

Y/n: babe it's only been a few days what has gotten into you.

I notice the blush on her face which makes me giggle.

Lizzie: I don't know I just miss you

Y/n: your cute. As soon as I'm back we can go out for dinner and celebrate your audition and we can book a hotel

Lizzie: sounds perfect, I can't wait. When have you got to leave for qualifying?

Y/n: we'll be heading out in about 20

Lizzie: I'll let you get going soon then but I'll be watching on tv

Y/n: what a nice supportive girlfriend you are

Lizzie: when are you going to stop teasing me dickhead

Y/n: I'm going to be here doing it for the rest of our lives so suck it up Bambi

Lizzie: I can think of something else to suck but whatever you say honey badger

Y/n: fucking hell liz you must be pregnant with all these hormones

Lizzie: you haven't managed to knock me up yet mister. That's for after the wedding.

Y/n: sounds like a plan Miss Olsen. Anyways your birthday is in a month so is there anything you want in particular or shall I surprise you?

Lizzie: I can't think of anything right now so I'll leave you to it.

Y/n: I have a few ideas I think you'll like. I better get going anyways I'll call you when I get back to the hotel, I love you.

Lizzie: I love you too, go smash it

After we say our goodbyes I wait until she hangs up before going to throw on some clothes. As I leave the hotel room I only have one thing on my mind.

"You ready kid?" christian says handing me my helmet as the team make sure mine and Max's cars are ready. Can you believe I'm racing alongside Max verstappen? I won't lie I've always been a Hamilton fanboy but this is still a dream come true.

"Yeah I'm ready" I say releasing a breath before heading over to my dad and Daniel. "Don't be too aggressive in the earlier laps only push the car when needed because you don't want to wear out the tires quick" dad says as he checks my helmet is on correctly. Even though I'm pretty sure I can put my Helmet on correctly I let him do it. "I know dad me and Christian have been through the strategy don't worry." I reply making him smile and nod.

"Good luck little bro" Daniel says before pushing helmet which makes me stumble as he laughs at me, my dad shaking his head at us. "Thanks dickhead and your only older by a few minutes"

Once I'm in my car I check that everything is set correctly so we have no tech issues when I leave the garage. I look over and see Christian speaking to my dad and Daniel, well it looks like he's saying more to Daniel. That's weird. He then shakes both of their hands before heading back over to the monitors and putting on his headset. I look back over to Daniel and see a huge smile on his face as dad pulls him into a side hug.

I guess I'll find out what that was after qualifying.

"Get in mate! You've secured 3rd for tomorrow well done kid" Christian cheers as I complete my final lap in qualifying. It feels weird not coming first in everything I do like in f2 but I'm glad there is better competition out there so I can continue to grow amongst the best of the best. "Perfect. How far behind was I?" I ask as I do my cooldown lap. "Not much at all just 0.3 milliseconds from first which was Hamilton and 0.1 from verstappen. You've done well kid these leagues aren't easy" he says as I pull into the garage.

After getting out of the car and taking off some of my gear I greet my dad and Daniel. I then remember what I saw before I left the garage so my curiosity gets the better of me and I ask "what was that between you and Christian before I drove out?"

"Your not gonna believe it" Daniel replies with the biggest smile I've seen in a while which makes me qwirk my eyebrow at him. "He wants me to be the reserve driver" he says making my eyes widen in shock. "Holy shit that's amazing congrats" I say still trying to process the news.

Today has been amazing, the only thing missing is a certain blonde by my side.
