Once in a lifetime

~First Day~

Y/n's pov
It's now the next morning and also my first day at high school. Chris said he'd happily pick me up along side the girls which I was thankful for. After having a quick shower and finishing my morning routine, I head downstairs to see my parents and to have some breaky.

"Well don't you look smart y/n/n" mum says with a smile. She is dressed in very formal clothes ready to start her new job with Lisa.

"Thanks ma, you look nice" I say as I pass her whilst walking to the fridge to grab the milk for my cereal. "Where's dad?" I ask grabbing a spoon and sitting at the breakfast bar with my lucky charms.

"He's still sleeping. He was a tad restless last night with some headaches" she explains and I nod in reply. We've both been making sure to keep an eye on him until he's full recovered. "Would you like me to drop you off at school I don't start work until 9?" Mum asks as she washes her breakfast dishes.

"No thanks, Chris is picking me up in half an hour with the girls" I say and she instantly brightens up. "Is he now. Tell me more about Lizzie I can't wait to meet her" she requests. I love my mum, she can see how happy Lizzie makes me so she always gets me to speak about my time with her and she gives me advice to. "She's so perfect ma. She's nothing like Alycia. She wants to be an actor like Chris" I explain and she widens her eyes in shock. "Oh wow good for her. Why don't you ask if she wants to come round for dinner this evening? I'm making my famous roast lamb" she says and I nod, agreeing with the idea. "Sounds good to me. Thanks mum, I'll drop her a quick message."

"She said she'd love to have dinner with us" I say to mum as I swap positions with her so I can wash my breakfast bowl and spoon. "Perfect. I'm going to head in early and get a feel for the place. I'll see you both later and I can't wait to meet Lizzie" she rambles before kissing my cheek and heading out the front door and into her car, pulling off of the drive and starting her journey.

"G'day guys" I say getting into the back of Chris's car next to Lizzie. We basically have designated seats. Chris is driving, scar in the passenger seat, Lizzie is behind Chris and I'm behind scar.

"Hey you. You ready for today?" Lizzie asks after giving me a quick peck on the lips making me smile. I love how affectionate she is.

"Yeah I guess. I've got you guys with me so no need to worry" I say and she nods grabbing my right hand, bringing it onto her lap as she plays with my fingers.

"During break yesterday I went to the school office and asked if your name was put on the system. It was so I put in the classes you told me to" Chris explains keeping his eyes focused on the road.

"What subjects did you choose?" Scar asks turning slightly in her seat so she can look me in the eye. She then spots my hand on Lizzie's lap and offers us a smirk making me shake my head before answering her question. "History, gym and physics" I say.

"Oh nice. Wouldn't have pegged you for a history and physics guy" she says. "I find history interesting and due to my job I know a lot about physics" I explain and she seems to realise it makes more sense why I would pick those subjects. "I guess that makes sense"

"You should be with at least one of us for all of your classes except when we're in drama of course" Lizzie explains as she continues to fiddle with my hand. "That's good then" I reply as we pull up outside of school, Chris parking close to the entrance. "Let's go get your timetable before our lessons start" lizzie says as we get out of the car. Scar and Chris are quick to interlock their hands so I look over to Lizzie as they walk ahead and offer her my hand which she takes with a smile before we start to walk in. As we follow the other couple through the corridors I can't help but notice the multiple stares I get from being a new face as well as holding hands with a very known student but I don't give a fuck what they think. When we get to the office I give them my name and a woman hands me a piece of paper which I'm assuming is my timetable. She points to a board in the corridor which has all the extra curricular activities such as basketball which Chris does. Maybe I will too. She also tells me my locker number but I don't think I'll really be needing it seems as I won't be here for long. As we walk over to the lizzie's locker she looks over my timetable.

"We pretty much have the same lessons honey badger so it looks like your stuck with me" she teases sticking her tongue out to me when we stop beside her locker. "I wouldn't want it any other way Bambi" I reply nipping her waist which nearly makes her drop the books she was holding as we both burst into laughter. We then start to calm down, still looking into each others eyes. We don't say anything we just look at each other. Some people may think it's awkward but it seems to me like we're admiring each other. We get broken out of our gaze by someone calling lizzies name.

"Hey Lizzie baby! whose this douce?" he says stopping in front of us. It's Robbie. I recognise him from when Chris showed me a picture like he said he would. I was hoping to see him outside of school because it wouldn't look very good if I get off on the bad foot at a new school, my parents would be pissed.

Chris's pov
"Awh look how happy they look" scar says in my ear as we stand by our lockers watching y/n and Lizzie laughing together. I'm glad y/n has Lizzie now because his mental health was all over the place after his last relationship. He didn't see it but she was so manipulative and controlling but our Lizzie is nothing like that so I have nothing but confidence in where their relationship will end up. "Almost look as good as us" I tease earning a kiss from scar which soon gets interrupted by a certain dickhead. Robbie.

"Hey Lizzie baby! Whose this douce" he says so I look over to where y/n and Lizzie are standing. Robbie is pointing at y/n whilst he looks at Lizzie for an answer. Me and scar are quick to go over to them.

Lizzie's pov
"Back off man" y/n says when Robbie steps closer after I don't answer his question. "Stay out of it you fucking immigrant" Robbie seethes squaring up to y/n. Shit. This can't happen in school. I don't want y/n getting in trouble with his parents for being suspended on his first day. I let out a relived sigh when I see scar and Chris making their way over.

"What the fuck Robbie!" I say after hearing him call y/n an immigrant. Racist piece of shit. "Shut up bitch" he says before pushing y/n back into the lockers. Just as y/n is about to swing for him I see Chris pull Robbie back. "Not here Robbie. We'll deal with this outside of these four walls" he says pushing him away. I look back to y/n and see he is giving Robbie a death stare. "Hey" I softly whisper placing my hands on his cheeks. "I'm gonna kill him. He's not getting away with talking to you like that" he says pushing some of my hair out of my face. "I know, I know. But not in school okay"' I say and he nods.

"Does he fuck you good huh?!" Robbie shouts. We've now gained lots of attention from other students as they watch the scene unfold, some even recording which makes me feel uneasy. "We all know you never even let me touch you so tell me does he fuck you good?"

Scar is trying to calm Chris down by telling him he can do what he wants to Robbie but just not in school. As Robbie continues to stare at us for an answer I look down and see y/n has his fist clenched. One thing I've learned about y/n is that he really struggles with his anger when people say certain things, especially when it comes to his family and women. He's been raised right. "Robbie! Come on dude we'll deal with them bastards out of school. Chloe is waiting for you!" One of Robbie's friends shouts. Chloe is the girl we saw him making out with that one time but I couldn't give a flying fuck what he does anymore, I'm over him.

"This isn't over" he says pointing to y/n and y/n just hums in agreement with a cocky smile. Robbie then goes to walk off but i have an idea. "Hey Robbie?" I say making him turn around. As soon as he's fully facing us I pull y/n into me by his neck and place my lips on his. I kiss him passionately which he instantly returns before we break away with a smack of lips, y/n placing his arm around my shoulders as we walk to our first class, making sure to flip Robbie off as we walk past him.

Maybe he'll finally get the message that I hate him.

Y/n's pov
To be honest, Lizzie's actions shocked me but in a good way. I think I just fell for her even more when she made sure to show Robbie she's mine.
