~Retaliation~

Thursday evening

Layla's pov
Y/n has just left the house to go and pick up Chris so they can go to the gym together. Y/n always tells me everything that's going on in his life and just like all the times we've been here in La, he's found himself in the middle of an argument which doesn't surprise me. Me and Ricky are used to it now so we just tell him to let us know that he's safe so we don't worry. We know our boy can protect himself and Chris can too. Just as I'm about to get started on some dinner for me and Ricky the doorbell rings so I go over to answer it and I can believe who is stood at the other side of the door. I don't know what I should be feeling.

"Hi mum" Daniel says and I just stare at him. I know he was in the wrong for everything he did but he's still my son and I miss him. We all do and we can't help it. I did hate him at one point but spending some time away from him, that has cooled down a little. "What are you doing here?" I say in a monotone voice. "I've got nowhere to go okay so please just let me stay. I'm sorry for my actions and I hate myself for what I did but I'm over Lizzie now I swear" he says and I want to believe him I really do but I wouldn't want y/n to think I'm betraying him because I know how much he despises his brother after his weekend in Texas. "It's not me you need to be apologising to. You've dug yourself a huge hole this time son and it's going to take a lot to get yourself out of it"
I explain as I hear Ricky moving around upstairs. "I know that mum but you've all got to give me a chance to fix it. I'll apologise to everyone who wants one. You ,dad, y/n, Lizzie. Name them and I'll apologise because I do realise I was in the wrong" he says and I let out a sigh as I look to the floor. "Please mum" he adds so i signal for him to come in and sit on the sofa.

"I'm going to speak to your dad so stay here" I say and he nods before I disappear upstairs. I hope he's telling the truth because I just want my family to be whole again. I miss my twins being together.

Daniel's pov
After mum goes upstairs I let out a huge sigh as I sink into the sofa. I meant every word I said except from one thing. That thing being that I'm over Lizzie. I do miss my brother though but I still can't accept the fact that he gets the girl and I don't. First I need to try and earn all of their trust back before I can make a move. Y/n is going to be the hardest to convince because he's so stubborn and doesn't really give anyone second chances. Maybe he'll give me one because I'm his brother but we'll see. I will make things right and I will get Lizzie one way or another. As I wait for mum to come back down I quickly message a friend that I'm back in LA permanently now. None of my family know about this friend and that's because we do crazy shit together like shoplifting and selling drugs so I don't mention him around the house so he doesn't get caught. I don't really feel like getting caught either. He knows about y/n being my twin though, I wonder if they've ever met at school?

Daniel
Hey mate, I'm back in LA now and I should be joining up to your school for the last few weeks. Let me know when you're free so we can hang.

Graham
Oh wow wasn't expecting to hear from you so soon. Last I heard you were getting put down by the media for assault.

Daniel
Some crazy shit happened in Texas and me and y/n were fighting over some girl. I hit my dad on accident but I'm dealing with it. You still do drops with that friend of yours?

Graham
Yeah we do them usually two times a week, you'll have to join us one time it's about time you met him. He's getting back from San Diego on Friday so I'll arrange a buyer for that evening if your up for it. I also need to talk to you about y/n as well, him and Robbie, my best mate who I do the drops with, have ongoing beef and I'm caught in the middle. Y/n is dating his ex that Robbie isn't over. Me and Robbie scrapped y/n and Chris outside the driving range we usually go to.

Daniel
Wait what? What's the girls name?

Graham
Elizabeth why?

Daniel
No fucking way. That's the same girl me and y/n were fighting over in Texas. What's Robbie doing in San Diego?

Graham
I'm not sure if your gonna like the idea but he's gathering people to get back at y/n and Chris for the night at the driving range. They beat us up pretty bad and Robbie wants revenge. Does y/n know you're in LA?

Daniel
Not yet, and I'm gonna keep it that way. I'll join in on Robbie's plan. Y/n got me pretty good in Texas so I wouldn't mind getting back at him either. I need to find a hotel to stay at so y/n doesn't know I'm back.

Graham
You can stay at mine if you want? My parents are out of town for a couple weeks on vacation. If I were you I wouldn't go to school or y/n will know you're here.

Daniel
I won't I'm gonna lay low until Robbie has his plan. Y/n will find out I'm in La when he sees my fist in his face. I'm gonna tell my mum I'm staying at a hotel and going to a different school so she doesn't suspect anything.

Graham
Perfect, you still know where I live?

Daniel
Yeah. I'll get a cabbie down when I've spoke to my mum.

Graham
See you soon.

"Daniel?" Mum says as she walks back downstairs so I stand up and walk over to her, wheeling my suitcase behind. "Your dad doesn't want to see you" she says so I nod. "I'm just going to stay at a hotel and apply for a different school to y/n. Don't tell him or anyone else I'm back. Forget this ever happened. Bye mum" I say walking out of the house not caring what she has to say. I order a cabbie and tell the driver grahams address. I hope mum doesn't tell y/n I'm in La. I don't think she will because she wouldn't want him to be frustrated with the situation.

It's time to get payback once and for all and there's no way anyone is stopping me this time. If Robbie does end up bringing people back, him and Chris will be way outnumbered making it easy for us.
