Once in a lifetime

~Sunset~

Monday

Y/n's pov
After spending yesterday at home recovering from my hangover, today we've got school and my first basketball match for the team. After the game me and Lizzie are going for a date at the beach. Right know I'm just getting ready after having my usual morning shower before going to pick up Lizzie. My flight to England is at 1pm tomorrow so we're going to be leaving for the airport around 11am. Mum can come with us this time which is good because I definitely felt her absence when in Texas. Lisa is letting her work from her laptop so it doesn't count on her holidays for work.

"Hey" I say when Lizzie gets in the car leaning to me for a kiss which I return. "Hey you, exited for the game later?" She asks bringing her arm to my shoulder so she can play with my baby hairs as I pull off her drive and start our journey to school. "Yeah hopefully I don't crack under pressure" I say placing my hand on her thigh. "I doubt that you literally race in front of thousands of people for a living" she says looking at my side profile. "I guess" I say as we come to a stop at a red light giving me a second to look at her. "Still up for our date at the beach?" I ask squeezing her thigh softly. "Of course, I wouldn't miss it for anything" she says making me smile as I pull into school. Once I've parked the car I turn it off and take my seatbelt off before turning to face her, lizzie mirroring my actions. We don't say anything, we just look each other for a few seconds before leaning in to kiss. No matter how many times I've kissed her, I still get that same jittery feeling in my stomach.

Hopefully the question I've been wanting to ask her gets answered with a yes when I ask her tonight. Boy oh boy I'm nervous...

"Good luck, I'll be cheering you on" Lizzie says before giving me a kiss. "Every point I score is for you" I sweet talk making myself scrunch my face after realising how cringe that sounded. She giggles at my facial expressions quickly giving me another kiss before heading off into the stands with scar. Me and Chris do some warmup drills together until we get called over by coach. "Okay boys we've only got a few games left in the season so let's make every minute count. You've got one hand on the state championship so let's not lose it!" He cheers getting us all pumped up. We end up dominating the game and I've lost count on the amount points I've earned us. Me and Chris carry out our usual link up play which leaves the other team hopeless and unable to stop us. When the game ends me and Chris celebrate with the rest of the team. Coach demands I was player of the game which I was shocked about but thanked him anyway. Me and Chris spot the girls in the crowd who look just as exited as we do.

That shit was fun.

"Did you remember to pack your clothes?" I ask as we drive back from school. "Yeah so we can go straight to yours" she replies as she connects her phone to the car via Bluetooth. Lizzie is a huge Taylor swift fan so my guess is she's going to play one of her songs. Just then she begins to play 'wildest dreams'. I know her too well already. I smile when I hear her quietly singing as she glances out the window, watching the scenery as we pass it.

When we get to mine we say a quick hi to my dad before heading upstairs so we can get ready. I grab some clothes from my closet to take in the bathroom with me so Lizzie can get changed in my room. I give her a quick kiss as we pass on my way to the shower. After showering I dry my hair with a diffuser making it slightly more wavy than usual. I then put my clothes on, double checking everything in the mirror.

When I'm satisfied I shout through to Lizzie to check if I can come out and when she lets me know I can, I come out of the bathroom to be met with Elizabeth Chase Olsen looking like an angel who has just fallen from heaven.

"How do you get even more beautiful every day?" I say playfully twirling her around making me giggle. When she's facing me again she reaches up to 'fix' my hair. "I like you hair like this" she says moving her hands to my chest. "Thank you. Ready to go? I packed all the picnic stuff last night" I say and she nods giving me a kiss. She helps me carry the stuff through to the car and then we set off with my hand on her thigh as usual as she plays with the baby hairs at the back of my neck sending shivers down my spine. When we get to the beach we lay down a blanket pinning it down with our shoes on the corners before sitting down. I take the bag with all the stuff in and start distributing it over the blanket for us so we have easy access.

"That view is pure bliss" I say making Lizzie hum in agreement. "I love watching the sunset" she says before shuffling in-front of me and laying back so her head is on my chest. I wrap my arms around her keeping her close as she occasionally feeds me some random things I brought with us. From time to time I would place a kiss on her head as we watch the sunset in a peaceful silence. Time to pop the question. "Lizzie?" I say softly into her ear grabbing her attention. She hums as she turns her head whilst softly squeezing my thigh, her lips a couple centimetres from mine as she looks at me so I can't help but lean down to leave a soft kiss on them. "How do you feel about going official?" I ask against her lips making her instantly smile against mine. "Ask me and you'll find out" she says before giving me a quick peck but leaving her lips slightly brushing against mine. "Will you, miss Elizabeth Chase Olsen be a darling and be my girlfriend?" I ask and she nods against my head before kissing my lips multiple times in a row making me giggle. "Hey boyfriend" she says making me smile. "Hey girlfriend" I say kissing her lips one last time before leaning back pulling her back into my chest again so we can watch the sunset.

"You make me so happy y/n and I'm so glad for Chris dragging me to Texas" she says bringing one of my hands to her lips placing a kiss on each of my knuckles. "I'm glad he did to. You are by far the best thing that has ever happened to me and I can't wait to make many memories with you Elizabeth Chase" I reply. We then spend the next hour watching the sunset, spending quality time together.

The sunset may be a great view but the one in my arms is way better. You own my heart miss Olsen. Officially.
