Y/n's pov
So it's been a few days and it's now race day. Everything went smoothly at the HQ on Wednesday they just needed me for some test drives as we've had some new parts installed to mine and Jake's cars. All the practice sessions went to plan and the car has never been faster making me easily get pole position today and Jake is in p3. If I win today I'll be back in front of Vesti in the drivers championship so I'm praying I don't mess this up. I'm currently getting some last minute checks done before we head out for our formation lap. When I see a camera pointed at me as I get into my car I make sure to wave hoping Lizzie is watching.

Time to win this for her.

Lizzie's pov
It's been hell these past few days without y/n. With him being gone it's made me realise how much I do like him and need him in my life. Anyways me, mum, dad and the twins are all sat in the living room with the f2 channel on watching as y/n gets into his car when the cameras move to the McLaren garage. I smile when he waves at the camera before sitting down. I officially love seeing him on race day because he looks so good in all of his gear. I just wish I could be there with him but he knows that I can't.

Ricciardo leads the pack as they all head out for the formation lap before we start our famous British Grand Prix. Take a look at our grid formation coming up now...

Y/n is starting first and I think that's called pole position if I remember correctly and his teammate is third. Vesti is behind y/n and I know that's his number one rival on the track so I hope y/n manages to stay ahead. When they've all pulled into their positions on the grid the lights turn red as everyone waits in anticipation for the race to begin.

Lights out and away we go! Ricciardo stays ahead with a quick start, Vesti following behind. Ricciardo keeps it clean on the first corner not leaving any space for Vesti as he breezes ahead. What a start from him and McLaren!

All of us let out a cheer when y/n manages to stay ahead and put some distance between him and Vesti. After a few laps the race has settled with   y/n still ahead but not by a lot.

Lap 25
Ricciardo is now coming in for his first pit stop which leaves Vesti now in lead.

Y/n still has the advantage even though Vesti is ahead because Vesti still needs to go into the pits for a tire change. When y/n leaves the pits he's in third just behind his teammate who should be pitting this lap. After Jake pits y/n is now in second tailing Vesti.

Will Ricciardo manage to regain his position before Vesti can even change his tires? He makes a lunge down the inside and Ricciardo regains the lead! What a move from him, that was absolutely incredible.

"Get it son!" Dad cheers when he regains the lead making me smile. I bet he knew who y/n was before he even met him because he watches lots of the races.

Lap 52
It's now the final lap and my driver is 15 seconds ahead of Vesti when he comes out of the final corner his team is up on the rails applauding him as he crosses the fishing line. All of us are cheering along with them too.

And that is that. Y/n Ricciardo has won the British Grand Prix with some textbook driving. Congrats to him and McLaren. Let's here the winners team radio.
