"What time is our flight anyways?" Lizzie asks as her and scar rummage around her closet to find some outfits for the trip.

"Scheduled for 2pm so we need to be at the airport for around 11:30am to give us plenty of time to sort out our luggage and go through security" Chris says from his place on Lizzie's  bed as he watches the girls frantic movements.

"If the race is on Sunday why are we going on a Thursday?" Lizzie asks as she folds some clothes into her suitcase whilst scar grabs her some toiletries from the en-suite.

"We're not just going for the race. We're watching practice one on Friday then on Saturday we'll be watching practice two and qualifying then obviously the race on Sunday." Chris explains making Lizzie nod.

"What's the qualifying thingy for?" Lizzie asks as scar hands her a mini bag filled with toiletries which she places in her suitcase before zipping it up.

"It's to decide where everyone starts on the grid. Whoever gets the fastest lap starts at the front and whoever gets second fastest starts second and so on. They get given a set number of laps to do and they set their fastest. The slowest drivers get eliminated and the top ones get given more laps to set a new best. I hope that makes sense lizzie bear" Chris says trying to simplify it the best he can.

"I think I get it. So whoever is fast gets a head start compared to the slowest" Lizzie says as scar smirks at her attempt to get her head around the racing world.

"Something like that" scar says whilst holding a laugh in.

"Stop being mean to me!" Lizzie complains before letting out a giggle. "I'm sorry I don't date formula 1 maniacs" she adds making the couple laugh at her silliness.

"Right we best get going because my mum wants us back for dinner but we'll pick you up at 10:30am so be ready." Scar says to Lizzie as she drags Chris out of the room.

"See you tomorrow" lizzie says as they retreat downstairs. She then lays back on her bed and puts her hands over her face before letting out a loud groan.

"What have I gotten myself into?"

"You suck!" Daniel complains when y/n beats him at another thumb war.

"Your just shit at thumb wars" y/n says earning a glare from Ricky.

"Stop swearing we're on a plane with kids" Ricky lectures as y/n sinks into his seat and looks out of the plane window.

"We should be landing soon ay dad?" Daniel asks as y/n continues to gaze out of the window, bored of all the travelling even though they're not even halfway to Texas yet.

"Yeah should be about 20 minutes then we've got an hour crossover before boarding our second flight" Ricky replies just before the seatbelt signal dings indicating the plane is starting its descent.

"I'll text Chris to let him know where almost done with the first flight." Y/n says as he pulls his phone from his pocket.

Y/n

"Are you exited for your trip darling?" David, Lizzie's dad, asks her as the Olsen family sit at the dinner table.

"Yeah i guess but I'm not 100% sure I understand the sport and I don't wanna be seen as the clueless blonde" Lizzie explains as her mother, Jarnette, places her dinner in front of her.

"Your overthinking it. Just go and enjoy yourself. All you need to know is that whoever is fastest is the best. Simple. Right David?" Jarnette says towards her husband whilst rubbing Lizzie's shoulders.

"That's right. Listen to your mother. Whoever crosses that finish line first is the best that day ok. You can learn the ins and outs of the sport another day. Now eat your dinner lizard and stop worrying. Many people would die to be watching that race tomorrow" David says as his wife places his dinner in front of him, giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Thanks honey" he says with a smile before digging in.

"Were are the twins anyway?" Lizzie asks after swallowing the food in her mouth.

"They had to stay behind at their office to do some extra practical work for that project their working on" David says as Jarnette joins them at the dinner table. Lizzie nods in acknowledgement before continuing to eat her food.

"Do you need a lift to the airport in the morning sweetie?" Lizzie's mother asks her with a smile and Lizzie shakes her head before replying.

"No it's okay mom. Chris and scar are picking me up so we can all stay together." She replies before standing up and taking her empty plate to the dishwasher.

"Just be safe this weekend and keep us updated so we know your safe" David says as Lizzie grabs his empty plate, offering her a smile in thanks.

"I will dad try not to worry. Chris knows people in Texas so we'll be okay" Lizzie reassures him before sitting back down at the dinner table as Jarnette finishes her food.

"I'll always worry about you lizard. Your my daughter so it's impossible not to" David says before his wife adds to his sentence.

"That's true. No matter how much you tell us not to worry we will so please keep in touch darling" she says with a smile before taking her last mouthful of food. Lizzie grabs her empty plate before placing it in the dishwasher with the others.

"I will I promise. I'm gonna hit the sack and get an early night. I'll see you both in the morning. Love you!" Lizzie says shouting the last phrase as she skips upstairs ready for her weekend adventure with her best friends.

"Love you lizard!" her parents reply with the same energy.
