Y/n POV
After getting Mika settled in our guest room I went downstairs and Rindou was in the kitchen cooking dinner.
"That smells nice" I say
"It's just something quick" he says
"You alright?"
"I'm still not 100% keen on Mika being here" he admitted
"Rindou she's my sister...she needs help, she needs our support you would do the same for Ran in a heart beat" I say
"...I just don't want you to be taken advantage of because you have all this money now" he says
"Mika wouldn't do that to me, just give her a chance, please? For me" I asked
Rindou looked at me and sighed
"You know I can't say no to you...why do you have such an affect on me dammit"
"Because you love me that's why" I giggled
"I do love you...I love you so much" he smiled pressing a kiss on my forehead.
"Y/n..."
I turned around and Mika was in the doorway.
"You need something Mika?" I asked
She motioned me into the other room so I followed.
"What's up?" I asked
"I really appreciate everything you're doing...I know your husband isn't a fan of me being here after I wrecked his bar" she says
"Mika, Rindou is a lovely guy so just give him some time to get to know you yeah?" I told her
She nodded and Rindou called for us to get dinner. While we were eating I noticed Mika wasn't eating...
"Do you not like the food Mika?" I asked
"No it's not that...it's just it's been a while since I have a decent meal" she says
"What happens when you waste all your money on drugs and stuff" Rindou commented
"Alright Rindou, if it too much for your stomach? I can get you something a little easier to handle?" I suggested
"I don't want to waste the food or anything..." she says
"you're not wasting it, I'll wrap it up and put it in the fridge for later if you want some you can help yourself, if not Rindou or I will have it for lunch tomorrow instead" I explained
Mika accepted my offer and after I finished my food I made her something lighter for her stomach to handle but was still filling enough for her.
"Here Mika, remember when mom would make this whenever we got the stomach flu" I say handing her a bowl of soup.
"Thanks..."
She took the bowl and I sat with her as she ate it.
"You're stating y/n" she says
"sorry just...I'm happy you're here Mika...I've missed you" I say
"I missed you too...and I mean it I'm going to get clean and when I get a job I'll pay you guys monthly for letting me stay here" she says
"You don't have to do that" I say
"I think Rindou would appreciate me contributing to something in the apartment while I'm here. So please just let me" she says
"Alright but don't feel like you have to pay us every month" I say
