Rindou POV
I ended up staying a few days over at Ran's place before Ryoko decided to throw a hissy fit about me staying over for more than 2 days. When I came home the apartment was dead silent.
"Y/n!? You here?" I called
I noticed the balcony doors slightly open so I went over and y/n was sat on the sofa outside on her iPad.
"There you are"
She looked up and nodded.
"And here you are. You finally decided to come home" she replied
I took my jacket off and pulled my tie loosely before going over and sitting with her. I took the IPad and set it down on the table.
"I've done a lot of thinking, these last few days, and you deserve to know everything, no secrets" I told her
"I just want to know what you're not telling me. Why do you stay out so late? Why do you act so secretive?" She asked
"On top of the business with the Club, myself and Ran are both in an organisation, it's lead by Mikey...we aren't all just friends we're "business partners" or whatever you want to see it as" I explained
"Organisation? What do you mean?" She asked
"you heard of Bonten?" I asked
"Yeah it's one of Japans biggest criminal— Rindou no..."
When the realisation of what Bonten was hit her, her eyes widened and he skin went white...
"Ran and I are both Executives of Bonten, Koko and Mochi, are executives too, Sanzu is Bontens number 2, Kakucho is its Number 3 they both protect Mikey with their lives the majority of the time, and Takeomi is our advisor." I explained briefly.
"S-so you're a criminal..."
I nodded and she frowned
"What crimes?" She asked
"You don't wanna know" I advised
"Tell me. Now Rindou."
Her jaw clenched tight, I sighed and reached into my pocket and lit a cigarette and sighed.
"Bonten is engaged in a variety of illegal activities, such as gambling, fraud, prostitution," I say missing out murder in the list
"Oh wow so you're cheating on me for money?" She asked
"No! I stopped after I found out I was marrying you y/n" I say
She went silent and looked down.
"Y/n, hey listen to me, I was serious that night when I said that i think I'm in love with you, and it's true, I am in love. I love you and I want you to know that I'll do anything if it means you're safe" I say.
"You promise there's no other girls you're sleeping with?" She asked
"Swear on my life."
"Good" she sighed
"Can I trust you to not say anything to anyone about what you now know. Nobody can know I'm in Bonten, not even my parents, they know I'm in some gang but they don't know it's as big as Bonten" I asked
"Dunno Rindou, this is a pretty big deal I mean you're in Bonten, you've gone as far as to kill people" she says
"How did you—"
"I'm not stupid Rindou," she deadpanned
"Y/n I'm begging you here, I need you to keep this quiet, I promise from now on no more secrets kept" I pleaded
She was silent before looking at her wedding band.
"I was a new wedding ring set, and a position in your business at the club." She says
She was sneaky...I didn't realise that I just put myself in a position where my own wife could blackmail me...
"First off I would have gotten you a new wedding ring whether we had this talk or not. Secondly I'll speak to Ran see what position we can give you" I say
"I want a high one, would be idea before the boss' wife to be working as a waitress" she says
"No it wouldn't" I sighed
It went silent between us both as we looked out over the city.
"...I love you too by the way" y/n spoke softly.
I looked over and she had a small smile on her face as she looked at me. I smiled and lifted my arm for her which she scooted over and laid her head on my lap, holding my hand in hers.
"I'd kiss you but I hate you smoking" she says
"I'll quit...Only for you though"
