As the sun came up, it gently woke the five friends from their sleep. Mnesarete was already awake, but the others gradually woke up, too.

Ikkos was the first to stretch, letting out a happy sigh and admiring the sunrise. All the mysteries that had troubled them for a long time were finally solved. He felt a weight lifted off his shoulders, leaving him feeling light.

Chrysomallo followed soon after, her relaxed face showing peace for the first time that she could remember. The worry that had made her forehead crease was gone. It was replaced with a feeling of peace that comes with overcoming danger.

Dex got up and nudged Themistonoe next to him, his eyes shining with excitement. Even though he felt physically tired, his mind was buzzing with new possibilities. The darkness was gone, and their future lay before them like unexplored land.

As the group gathered, exchanging smiles of support and relief, a feeling of cheerful optimism filled the small room. The uncertainties that had troubled them for a long time were gone. And in their place, a brighter tomorrow arrived—a future full of answers, rewards, and endless possibilities.

The delicious smell of sizzling smoked pork woke everyone up completely. Caravos was busy in his small kitchen, cracking eggs into a pan while flatbread bubbled on the hot stones.

"I hope you all have a big appetite after such a success!" he said warmly. "A celebratory breakfast is definitely called for."

The friends sat around the low table as Caravos brought out plates full of food. Thick pieces of meat with scrambled eggs flavoured with wild herbs and onions. Fresh figs, olives, and cheese were also served.

While they filled their plates, Mnesarete gave the finished manuscript to Caravos. Pride lit up his weathered face at their accomplishment. "You have done an amazing job, my dear. Future scholars will praise you for revealing long-lasting obscurities."

They shared stories from their adventure over the satisfying meal, and the room echoed with laughter and contentment. Even Ashamshemesh, who usually focused on his hunger, felt his curiosity satisfied for once, exceeding his appetite.

With the last bits of food gone, Caravos leaned back with a sigh. "Seeing the unravelling of the mystery and witnessing understanding take hold brings me joy. You have revealed more than just facts—you have revealed the souls of our ancestors."

Ikkos nodded genuinely. "None of this would have been possible without your guidance, my old friend. To people like you who have a lot of knowledge, we are very grateful."

Caravos winked sneakily. "You're flattering an old man! Now go quickly—there's a whole world out there waiting for your enlightening insights."

With full stomachs and lighter hearts, the group got up from the table. Caravos and Ashamshemesh stayed seated while the others began gathering their things.
