"Friends, a new part of our mystery has started," Themistonoe began quietly. "Nights ago, while studying, an old sailor named Kyros visited me. He had a gift that might help us in our search."

Themistonoe reached into her clothes and pulled out a scroll stained with blood and tied with red thread. The group gasped when they realised what it was.

"Could this be the same scroll my ancestor had?" Ikkos whispered, excited. But Chrysomallo raised her hand, signalling for him to be quiet, and Themistonoe continued.

"Kyros said that he was descended from Glaukos, who was on the Hercules' Might and saw what happened to the Fury."

"When people heard about the abandoned ship, Glaukos wanted to explore it, even though there were bad signs and his captain warned against it. He felt compelled to find answers in the ship's bloody remains."

"According to Kyros, Glaukos found this scroll in the dead captain's hands. He took it home, hoping to uncover its secrets, just like we hope to do now."

Themistonoe stopped, giving the group time to understand the significance of the rediscovered scroll before asking for their thoughts. The group whispered among themselves, intrigued, as they looked at the faded scroll. Ikkos leaned closer, his eyes shining.

"We might finally have proof of what my ancestor was searching for," he said eagerly. "Please, Themis, tell us what secrets this relic holds after so many years!"

"Yes, time may make things go away, but sometimes it leaves behind some knowledge for smart people to find," Mnesarete agreed. "Who knows what we might learn about forgotten languages or ancient magic from the symbols on this scroll now that it's in your hands?"

Chrysomallo nodded seriously. "The fate of the Fury has been unknown for centuries. But the message from the last witness might finally reveal the truth tonight."

Dex laughed. "I love adventures and finding secrets that have been hidden for hundreds of years! Let's uncover the mysteries that have been lost in time."

The group looked at the scroll, feeling a mix of excitement and uneasiness. But Themistonoe's words made them pause.

"Be patient, my friends. Before we read the message, let's first learn what happened to Glaukos." Her voice became serious.

"After that night, the sea that he used to rely on for his livelihood only brought him fear. Though he couldn't understand the message of the scroll, it showed him a horrifying vision that haunted him until his death."

"In his last moments, he went mad. He cursed and begged the gods for mercy, but none came. His family had to hold him back as the creature from his nightmares took his soul."

A serious silence filled the room as everyone considered the terrifying possibilities that lay ahead. What kind of horrors could someone witness, even without understanding the text, that would devastate a seasoned sailor?
