Wanderer fluff - cat tree

"What nice weather" wanderer thought as he basked in the sun which filtered through the leafs of the divine tree. Wanderer sat atop one of the upper branches as his striking gaze glanced over the land scape of sumeru.

-perspective: (Y/n)-

"This is the worst day ever" (Y/n)  said though their words came out as a hiss "you decide to help one student with an experiment" they said as they rolled their slitted eyes and looked down at their hands- or what should have been hands. What once was hands was now the paws of a cat "think of it this way traveler, you have SUPER CUTE TOE BEANS bwahhh" paimon squealed

(Y/n) had been turned into a cat

"HISSSSSS" (Y/n) covered their now much more sensitive ears, though this seemed to go unnoticed by paimon as she continued to coo over the now cat-ified (Y/n). "For the safety of my ears maybe I should just go" they gave paimon a quick glance then quickly ran off into the city before she could squeal again "just until sunset" (Y/n) told themself

They wandered for a while in the city before ending up in a small garden "what's that smell...catnip?!" they started towards the plant "I wonder what if I-"

"HSSSSS" a gray cat jumped in front of (Y/n) clawing at their face "GRRRRW" they clawed the cat back "HEY, GET OUT OF HERE" a old lady swung a broom towards the tussle, smacking (Y/n) out of the garden

"Ugh you really called your mom?" (Y/n) grumbled at the gray cat. The lady raised her broom again towards (Y/n) "ECK" they spun quickly and ran towards the center of the city

"This day has been the worse...hmm where can I go to be left alone" their eyes darted towards the largest part of the city "if I go up that tree maybe no one will bother me" they purred at the thought as they began to trot their way towards the Devine tree

-time skip-

"Finally" they panted as they reached the upper branches after some struggle "no one to bother me" they purred "huh what's a little cat like you doing up here?" a voice called from behind (Y/n)

They turned around ready to hiss out this annoying person before realizing who it was "well as long as you don't bother me" wanderer said with a relaxed sigh

"I've never seen him so...calm" (Y/n) thought as they jumped onto the branch next to wanderer "mmerp?" They said  pushing their head against his arm "didn't I just say not to bother me?" Wanderer said chuckled before petting the cat. (Y/n) whipped their tail back and forth happily "I can't believe he's so friendly right now" they thought

Wanderer hummed as the cat layed their head on his lap "what a friendly cat" he mumbled as he looked out towards the horizon which the sun steadily approached "I only have a little bit of time left" (Y/n) thought purring as wanderer hummed a inazuman song

It was a surprisingly calming moment, just the wind, wanderers humming, and the sounds of their breathing. (Y/n)'s ear flickered as wanderer pat from their head down to their back, the calming sensation along with the calm noises caused their eyes to slowly fluttered closed.

The small (color) cat seemed to fall asleep on his lap, he continued to pet its soft fur as he hummed a melody from his childhood- well a song he'd heard when he was a child at least

He watched peacefully as the sun set when he felt the cat start to get strangely warm, he looked down to the cat which in the blink of the eye became a more familiar human figure "what the..."

(Y/n)'s head lay on wanderers lap, one  of their arms went around his waist and the other lay on his lap next to their head. They continued to sleep peacefully as wanderer looked on with grave confusion.

When the cat became (Y/n) he stoped petting them but (Y/n) in their still asleep mind seemed to not realize they where no longer a cat as they grumbled and pushed their head against his hand.

Wanderer looked down at the sleeping (Y/n) and let out a small sigh before petting their hair "has their hair always been this soft?" He thought as he continued to watch the sun sink below the horizon

"(Y/n), you will have a lot to explain in the morning" he mumbled with a sigh
