Xingqiu Fluff - lunch time (high school AU)

(Y/n) and Xingqiu sat towards the back of the class, Xingqiu lightly dragged his pen along the surface of his paper, illegible notes on today's language class. (Y/n) rested their hand on their cheek their head in the clouds thinking of the blue haired boy next to them.

The way his soft locks fall along his jaw line. The way his eyes flicker from his paper to the teacher. The way he moves as he speaks like he is the embodiment of his own words. (Y/n)s mind drifted through these thoughts

"Psst, (y/n)" Xingqiu elbowed their side "did you read last nights chapter?" (Y/n) nodded "yah the only important part was the two main characters are officially dating and planing to go back to their home town" they whispered back "called it" he whispered back writing down what had happened in his notes

*RING RING*

The students hurly stuffed their books and pencils in their bag and shuffled off like they where late for an important appointment. (Y/n) quickly threw their note book into their bag zipping it right as and waited for Xingqiu to neatly re organize his school supplies into its designated like they had all the time in the world to do so.

"Hey I still want to have time to eat before lunch ends here" (Y/n) rolled their eyes "oh we have plenty of time my liege" Xingqiu cooed causing (Y/n) to blush

Finally the golden eyed boy finished packing his bag. The two of you began down the now empty hall, as they walked (Y/n) stole glances at the unusually quiet boy.

Suddenly Xingqiu suddenly said "whoops!" As (Y/n) felt a force fall into their side. They leaned into the lockers for balance as they looked down to see Xingqiu, arms around their waist and his chin leaning on their chest looking up at them.

"Apologies my liege" he said calmly with a smile as (Y/n)s face grew red and panicked "ah- It's - it's it's fine um" they leaned off the lockers "...Xingqiu?" They mumbled as he stood back on his own, arms still around (Y/n).

Oh apologies, my hands where just cold and you seem to be quite warm" he brought one of his hands to their forehead to check their temperature "you seem to have a fever" his hand slide down to hold their cheek "would you like me to kiss it better?" His eyes looked away for a moment be fore meeting theirs

"I- u-um" they tried to stutter out before simply nodding their head slightly "is that a yes?" He tilted his head "yes" (Y/n) mumbled "hehe your wish-" he leaned up to your forehead pushing his soft lips against the skin gently "-is my command" he stood back down looking into your eyes

"And one for me" he announced pushing his lips to (Y/n) for a moment before lowering the hand that still held onto their waist to their hand "now let's get to lunch~" he said with their hand now intertwined with his

"Ach hem" a familiar yet annoyed voice called from behind them. Chongyun stood judgmentally at the entrance of the hallway "heeey Chongyun" Xingqiu smiled innocently "you two promised this lunch period you'd join me to investigate hallway B for ghosts! and not only did you blow me off but you put peppers in my food!"
