The young Dragon Goddex sat atop their mountain home looking down upon their people "hmm little humans, always doing the same things every day" they mumbled "when was the last time I've had done something new?" They realized

"Hmm but what's to do?" They taped their claw on their chin "Morax, yes hes passed maybe it's time to expand the (Element) nation. Those poor people could use new guidance with the death of their god" the dragon huffed proudly

"I should scout it out first though" they stood up stretching their limbs "u-um Mx (Y/n)? Do you require something? Y-You where talking to yourself again" a young maid mumbled as they poked their head into the mighty (Y/n)'s chamber

"I- erm I was NOT talking to myself!" They sat down regally placing a paw to their chest "I was... taking to my pet fluffy" they pointed to the geovishap hatchling that was running around in circles in a cage with metal bars "o-oh sorry-"

"But I do require your help, please" the dragon grinned "could you and the other maids watch fluffy for me while I'm on a business trip?" They tilted their head at the small human "of course master, may I ask what he eats?"

"Rocks... and flesh- so watch your hands and toss him a boulder every other day about the size of your head!" They patted the top of the cage gingerly causing the geovishap hatchling to hiss and jump at their armored paw through the bar "...of course Mx (Y/n)...and tell the people who request your presence that you are busy?"

"Of course, thank you human" the dragon smiled proudly "now *snap*" (element) surrounded the dragon until they where completely covered *woosh* the (element) dicipatted revealing a human "are their any merchants I can hitch a ride with to liyue with?"

(Y/n) tossed a bag of mora towards the merchant as compensation for letting them ride on his cart before quickly making their way into the city "ahh the smell of...tea?" They turned their head to see an older looking gentleman in a suit sitting at what seemed to be a tea house listening to another man tell story's

"What interesting entertainment" they thought "hello there would you like to join me?" The fancily dressed man asked "ah- um sure" they decided "getting to know the people here will be key to knowing how to rule them!" (Y/n) smiled at the thought as they sat down

"What brings you to Liyue? You don't look like your from around here" the man smiled happily "I-...I um Im here for travel, you know it's getting MIGHTY popular now a days hehe" they said totally not suspiciously "ah yes many young people have been passing through recently" he nodded happily

For the next week Zhongli and (Y/n) toured Liyue, from the city to the far out mountains. The day before (Y/n) had to leave The two of them sat with their feet in the water at Luhua pools "Liyue is truly something" (Y/n) laughed splashing the water with their feet

"I'm glad you like it here (N/n)" Zhongli smiled kindly at you "...I wish I could stay-" Zhongli placed his hand over theirs "but I must be getting home soon" (Y/n) placed their thumb over zhongli's and lightly rubbed it back and forth

"I understand you probably have people waiting for you" Zhongli said sadly "yes...hey Zhongli it's unrelated but how do you feel about my nations goddex?" He turned to them

"Hmm yes (Y/n) that dragon is but a hatchling compared to our fallen archon and likes to be worshiped more then most Archons but they have taken care of their nation well despite this" (Y/n) griped the ground tightly with the hand not holding Zhongli's "interesting, though (Y/n) is far from a hatchling" they mumbled

"today has been wonderful Zhongli" (Y/n) looked into Zhongli's eyes "it has been a wonderful week (N/n)" a pit of disgust turned in (Y/n)s stomach as he said the name that wasn't theirs "hey Zhongli we're... close friends right?" he nodded holding their hand tighter

(Y/n) looked down at the now intertwined hands "I...need to tell you something" they turned back to his somehow understanding face "yes?"

They held onto his hand tightly as they closed their eyes. When their eyes opened they where different slitted like a serpent, as they met Zhongli's eyes they realized he had changed too.

His Branch like horns seemed to glow with geo energy towering over them "Hello (Y/n)" his voice seemed to boom with power yet his presence wasn't intentionally threatening "...hello Morax" their voice seemed meeker then they intended

"No need to be afraid" he rubbed the side of their hand with his thumb calmingly "didn't you-" He laughed "no, no (Y/n) I retired..." his laughter suddenly subsided "...I know why you originally came here (Y/n)" his tone suddenly became serious "you wanted to make Liyue part of your nation"

(Y/n) looked down at the water refusing to make eye contact with Morax, he leaned closer to them "tell the truth" he whispered into their ear resting his head on their shoulder causing a warm chill to run down their spin "u-uh huh" they hummed

"Good little dragon" (Y/n) trembled at his words causing him to pause "calm down your not in trouble" he leaned away but rubbed their arm up and down "I'm very sorry if I frightened you" he hummed but they remained silent

"Liyue is under the protection of the Adepti now, they have no need for you to help them" he looked to (Y/n)s face which remained fixed on the ripples on the water "look at me" they remained still "(Y/n)" he said firmly but they did not move

"(Y/n) look at me when I'm talking to you" he growled, his clawed hand held tightly to theirs

Small tears of fear clouded their vision causing Morax to pause "*sigh* I mean no harm (Y/n) we are friends" they shook as he spoke

Morax pulling them to his chest in a hug. He rubbed circles on their back and pressed his chin into the top of their head "I-I'm sorry for coming here" they mumbled pushing their face into his chest "no need to be" he massaged their head
