Neuvillette Fluff - day off

The wet grass stuck to your feet as you made your way down to the river. Today was your day off from being Monsieur Neuvillette's assistant, your job ranges from bring in evidence that needs to be physically seen during cases to bring Neuvillette coffee. But today your job wasn't the focus, today you where going on a swim.

You swung your water proof bag off your back and grabbed your bug spray. You shook the can vigorously, the metal ball inside clicking back and forth before you sprayed it along your body

"Ahh what a nice day" you slowly lowered your feet into the cool water feeling the waves of coolness flow through you body *mumbles mumbles*

"Hmm?" You turned your head to the sound of the voice but a hill blocked your line of sight "they sound familiar? Welp only one way to find out" you pushed off the ledge you sat on plunging into the water

You pushed up quickly to the surface of the water and looked to the hill you had heard the voice come from. You swim around the bend in the river but by the time you made it to where the voice had come from the person had jumped into the water leaving only a splash at the surface

You took a deep breath before going underwater, you peered around the bright sea not seeing another soul other then some blubberbeast and a small romp of otters "wait a second" you thought

Within the swirling otters a familiar man seemed to play with them, Monsieur Neuvillette. His intimidating presence melted in the flurry of otters dancing around him, you never noticed it before but he looked like an otter down to his adorable smiling face.

You slowly swam closer causing some of the otters to swim to you and rub their soft coat along the side of your face, you follow it with your eyes as it swims farther out. Suddenly You felt a tap on your shoulder and turned to see Nevullette who was holding a shell out to you

He tilted his head inquisitively and took your hand placing the (F/c) shell into it and blinked a smile at you. You looked at him then to the surface then back before swimming towards the surface

The water flowed off your head and you blinked it out of your eyes when your vishion settled Neuvillette had joined you "what a pleasure seeing you here (Y/n)"

"Same to you Monsieur Neuvillette, what brings you out here today?" Neuvillette chuckled "you may just call me Neuvillette (Y/n), and I believe we are here for the same reason we both have the day off and are enjoying the sun and the sea"

"Well you are correct there, but I didn't know the chief justice had days off" you snorted "it's quite unhealthy to not take breaks every now and again- wait where you joking?" You noded holding in laughter

Suddenly a otter knocked into your back making you land on Neuvillette's chest "ack s-sorry" your face burned red with embarrassment as you pushed your face from his wet cloths which tried to Cling to your face

"hmm? Why apologize" he lifted an eye brow "because w-well I'm...touching you" Neuvillette laughed "we shake hands all the time though, thus touching. Also that otter over there bumped into you so it wasn't your fault in the first place" he smiled

"I suppose hehe...you know you kind of look like the otters" you looked out at the otters who where now floating on their backs enjoying the sun "do I now? Maybe that's why their so friendly with me" he looked at his hair then to the otters

You looked down at the shell he had given you, it's pearlescent sheem glowed in the sun light "this Shell is beautiful" he looked back to you "just like you" he smiled "what?!" Your face grew red again "I said just like you"

"Do- Monsieur Neuvillette you know that's flirting right?" You rubbed the shell in your hands nervously "yes I've been reading up on how to flirt, did it work?" He smiled innocently "I...it's charming, why are you trying to flirt with me?"

"Because I like you and wish to take you on a date, I suppose with that being said would you like to go on a date?" He put his hands over yours "a date...would be nice"

He unwound one of your hands from the shell and brought it to his lips leaving a soft kiss "may we set up the time tomorrow morning before work so we may both find time in our schedules?" He looked over your hand with half lidded eyes

"of course Monsieur Neuvillette" you grabbed his hand that still lightly held yours and brought it to your face "see you tomorrow" you kissed his hand lightly
