19. baby troubles.

I was sitting on the couch in sweatpants and a hoodie watching mean girls, eating gummy bears and drinking diet coke.
I heard a car pull up. It was courtney!
I ran to the door, didnt even bother to wear shoes.
I opened the door and ran to courtney.
H: courtney!
I hug her tight.
C: Hiiii!!!
I grab her bags.
H: how was the hospital?
C: great!
Duncan walked out of the car with the baby.
D: here she is!
H: she is so cute! Ur so lucky. I wish i had a baby ;(
C: you can work that out with alejandro!
I hir her arm.
H: shut up!
We both giggle
I open the door for courtney and we head off to the nursery. It was a beautiful pink color. Little elephant stickers, a little swinging chair, toybox and a toy kitchen.
Duncan put down the baby in the crib.
She was so quiet.
H: shes so quiet!
C: doctors said she is the quietest baby they have ever seen.
H: so there will be no problem with her!
Boy was i wrong.
Alejandro comes over to see the baby.
A: she is adorable!
C: yeah!
A: and so quiet!
H: thats what i said!
Court carefully carresed the babys cheek with her nails.
D: okay now i gotta get my stuff out of the car.
C: okay!
Duncan was moving in. It will be super difficult with him in the house. I mean yeah he will be helping out, ill force him to. But hes all loud. We dont need loud people in a house with A BABY
Duncan unpacked his stuff and laid it out in courts bedroom. We had to get a seperate wardrobe for duncan, courtney wanted only her clothes to be in the walk in closet.
A few hours passed. Courtney was walking around the house, baby in her hands, she looked exuhasted, the baby keeps crying.
C: just stop crying PLEASE
The baby cried more and more.
D: here ill try.
Duncan grabbed the baby fron court. It was just louder.
A: maybe she will like me?
Alejandro grabbed the baby, she calmed down for a minute, then hit alejandro with that tiny hand and started crying again.
H: i cant take this. Give me her.
Immediately when i put her in my arms she stopped crying.
C: what?
D: bro how.
H: i dont know and i dont like it.
A: baby locker.
H: shut up.
The baby started laughing. I bounced her up and down in my arms until she fell asleep, then put her in her crib.
I walk down to the living room and courtney hugs me tight.
C: thank you so much.
H: no problem.
Many people dont know this. But from 6th to 11th grade i was a babysitter.
H:if you ever need to go out i can take care of her.
C: thanks, but ill ask my grandma. Im sure she will be thrilled to see her.
H: its so great that you have a baby girll!
C: i know! Im gonna do ponytails on her, put bows, skirts,
We sat on the couch daydreaming while duncan and alejandro were playing video games.
The baby was quiet the whole day, until it was night time.
2:04 am, the baby is crying for an hour, pacifiers arent working, she is all clean, shes burped, we dont know what to do.
C: what do you wantt?😞
The baby was whining while court was shushing and bouncing her in her arms. She had eyebags.
H; go back to sleep momma, ill take care of her.
C: thanks.
Court handed me the baby. I sat on the floor with the baby and started singing lullabies.
The baby finally falls asleep.
I put her down and i turn around. Alejandro is there, leaning by the doorframe.
A: i love your voice.
H: shut up.
Alejandro stayed over just incase something happens to the baby. He studied biology in college just in case the jewelery buisness goes bankrupt.
I lay down on my bed. Alejandro lays down next to me and cuddles me.
H: i want one too. Its so adorable.
I turn my head, to find alejandro already asleep.
I roll my eyes and turn around.
I see with the corner of my eye that al is smiling, but i just dont care and fall asleep.
