But before he could breathe a sigh of relief, the pain attacked him once again, this time his skin. It was more bearable than the bones so he held out despite crying tears of blood.

The pain stopped once again but he didn't let his guard down, the pain came back once, who's to say it wouldn't twice?

As expected, it came back again. This time it went for his organs! He stopped breathing for a moment when he felt all his organs pop. His consciousness was flickering like a small torch in a snowstorm. At this moment, his brain and heart were left alone.

Right when he was about to reach his limits, he felt his organs being recreated and destroyed. The cycle repeated itself until he vomited out tons of blood. Most of it being his prior organs. Undergoing such an intense pain made him become incapable of thinking straight, so he could not hold back his scream when he felt his heart and brain explode afterwards.

Wanting to curse the System for lying to him yet being unable to, he felt his consciousness slip away bit by bit. His body becomes numb with each passing second. This was a very familiar sensation to him, the prelude to death.

He had many misgivings, but right before he completely perished, a fire started burning in the places of his heart and brain. His consciousness hadn't fully disappeared yet, so he noticed it. Yet he couldn't bring himself to think, as his brain had popped apart as well.

To his surprise, the flame quickly started repairing his brain and heart. He felt sensation return to his body and his heart beating wildly. This continued on for a whole minute before the pain completely passed and left him with a strong desire, a desire to use the SSS skill Honkai Reaction Mode.

A screen popped infront of his eyes but he ignored it for now, partly due to how it didn't tell him about how painful it would be, but mainly because he felt ridiculously strong. He felt as if he could fold that Herrscher like a toothpick.

He felt as if his vision had been enhanced to an all new height. Unfortunately everything around him was red, but that didn't stop him from seeing the tiny strands of silk.

Furthermore, he felt immense vitality flowing across his body. His heart sending pulses filled with life every passing second. This allowed him to understand that he could probably tank a hit from a nuke and live!

But this intense desire to use the Active Honkai Reaction mode is indeed tough..

He recalled the description of that skill and figured out what the natural desire meant. Thankfully he was a well-versed assassin with strong mental capabilities. So he quickly suppressed it and looked towards the panel that popped infront of his eyes.

Despite the massive loads of information that were being sent into his brain, it didn't feel painful whatsoever. In fact, he understood everything and took it all in with a big smile on his face.

He was even stronger then full powered Fu Hua if her martial arts were deducted from the equation. He was confident that he could walk through this place with ease. This strength that was coursing through his veins filled him with conviction. Belief that nothing could stop him if he wanted to do something!

Seemingly noticing the enhancements in his personality, the System spoke up.

Even then, he smiled confidently and caressed the crimson silk. The silk started turning transparent the moment his fingers made contact with it and turned into small particles of light, which were absorbed into his hand.

He felt his power increasing with each silk thread he took in and by the time the silk cocoon was fully drawn in, his strength had risen by 10%!

The first thing his gaze landed upon after leaving the cocoon was a scorching hot battlefield filled with craters. His eyes twitched as he saw the lithe figure in the middle, it was Fu Hua. She seemed to be resting? Even though he felt that his firepower was stronger than hers, her martial arts boosted her prowess by more than ten folds.

Hm.. Thankfully she isn't an overall domineering woman, otherwise I might have been the one forced instead. Oh well, seeing her filled with such strength makes me delighted and proud..
