The class hummed with a low murmur of students slowly shuffling in and settling down. Timmy entered the room to find Riven already engrossed in a book, seated at a corner table. He acknowledged Riven with a brief glance, but he didn't have the luxury to dwell on the past for too long.

He silently made his way to an empty seat near him, pulling out his own book on ancient warfare. As he began studying the vivid descriptions of tactics and strategies, the minutes ticked away.

Mikos, strolled into the room, a friendly grin on his face. Spotting Timmy across the room, he made his way over, eager to engage in conversation.

"Hey, man, What's up?" He greeted, pulling out the chair beside Timmy.

Timmy, not looking up from his book, reflexively replied. "Hey."

Mikos raised an eyebrow, a bit surprised by the curt response. "Ok then, What are you reading?"

"I need to get ahead of my studies since I won't have time after training." Timmy explained, briefly glancing up from his book.

Mikos, though taken aback by his lack of enthusiasm, nodded understandingly. "Got it. Well, we can just talk after your done."

"Sure thing." Timmy replied, his attention returning to the pages before him.

Mikos gaze lingered for a moment before deciding to find his own entertainment. As the room filled with the anticipation of the upcoming class, Timmy remained focused on properly taking notes on the historical account.

Professor Alanis entered the classroom with an air of authority, her presence drawing attention. The low hum of conversations subsided as students directed their focus toward her. With a friendly smile, she greeted the class.

"Good morning, everyone. I hope you're all ready for today's lesson on the importance of selecting the appropriate materials when designing a automotive" Professor Alanis began, her passion for the subject evident in her voice.

She delved into the intricacies of material selection, emphasizing how it could affect the vehicle's performance, durability, and efficiency, particularly in challenging environments. As she spoke, the class listened intently, taking notes and absorbing the valuable insights.

To reinforce the lesson, Professor Alanis tasked the students with a practical application. "Your assignment today is to come up with an outline for the alloy or metal you would choose for a vehicle designed to travel through a desert. Be prepared to justify your choice."

As the students delved into their assignments, Mikos seized the opportunity to engage Timmy in conversation. Leaning over, he whispered, "So, how's everything going at Vanguard?"

Timmy sighed, his expression reflecting the challenges he faced. "It's tough. A lot tougher than I thought, but I'm not going to give up."

Mikos, with a reassuring pat on Timmy's back, consoled him. "Hey, there's no shame in playing to your strengths. Don't force it if it isn't meant to be."

As they worked on their outlines, Timmy appreciated Mikos' support but couldn't help but feel the weight of his commitment. "It's just... I want to prove myself, you know? I can't run away just because it's difficult."

Mikos, nodding in understanding, gestured toward Riven, who was deep in thought as he worked on his assignment. "Take a look at Riven, for example. I bet he doesn't understand a thing. Probably just thinks one is shinier than the other."
