With them was a man in his late 20s, rapidly issuing orders while arming himself with a discarded rifle.
This man was named lucas Harvey, a lieutenant in the British army, specifically the royal Marines. As he issued orders, he noticed the next wave of enemy soldiers marching towards the palace.

"hey, you! See if you can find any sort of radio inside! We need to see if we can contact anyone else!" he ordered.
The guardsmen simply nodded and ran back into the palace. Just as he did, a large boulder hit the corner of the palace roof, sending to guards flying.
"damn it! We can't hold out like this! We need reinforcements, now!" a guardsmen yelled, firing rounds of his rifle into the horde of soldiers.
