"oh honey i apologize for venetia's gift. i told her not to get that for you." elsbeth said clearly embarrassed with her daughter who was sitting near by the lake with her earbuds in her ear. she was laying on her back on the wooden deck. the end of her long blonde hair touching the water.
oliver sat on a chair listening to them talk without interrupting. alexandra had came out of the house and was called over by elsbeth. "it is fine, i promise." she assured her
venetia quickly removed her earbuds then looked over at her, "alex have you used your gift yet?" she smirked with purpose
alexandra couldn't help but to laugh, she quickly crossed her arms before talking, "no. i haven't used it." oliver was curious to know what she got her for her birthday. "what'd she get you?" he asked looking at alexandra who quickly looked down at the ground.
"she got her a double sided dildo, super inappropriate." elsbeth spat glancing over at her daughter who didn't care whatsoever. alexandra quickly made up an excuse to get out of the conversation.
"looks like i forgot sunscreen. i'll be right back." she laughed awkwardly. "i have some." venetia responded with the speed of lightning but alexandra was already sprinting away. she then vanished into the house
oliver watched her the whole time then turned his attention back to elsbeth. venetia quickly got up and began walking back to the house as well, oliver didn't pay her any mind. "where are you going?" elsbeth called out curiously
"to go see what farleigh and felix are doing." she continued walking, elsbeth sighed. she then took a sip of her drink before bringing the glass cup back down to her side, "i don't know what i'm going to do with her. i guess she thinks just because she has been sexually active since she was fourteen years old means that she can rub that energy off onto alexandra."
oliver just stayed quiet examining her, "God, i hope alexandra stays pure forever. that daughter of mines gives it away for free. she is sexually incontinent. " oliver nodded. he had a strong feeling that alexandra was still a virgin. he was hoping she wouldn't lose her virginity to felix while staying here for the summer..
"i just wish venetia would find her a man.. or a woman i don't care." elsbeth shrugged looking over at oliver. "i was a lesbian for awhile you know. but it was all just too wet for me in the end. men are so lovely and dry." she explained before taking another sip of her drink
oliver fiddled his fingers across his glass cup before glancing down, "ah it can't have been easy for venetia. with you being her mother." oliver stated looking into her orbs
"why?" she asked curiously. "because.."
elsbeth slightly frowned, "because what?"
"because you're so fucking beautiful." oliver stated with a certain charm, elsbeth just gave him a blanken stare. he scanned her entire body before looking but at her eyes. the two of them looked at each other without sharing words
elsbeth quickly chuckled before taking a seat in the chair. alexandra began walking towards them but she hadn't heard anything they were talking about. she quickly sighed as she stood beside elsbeth, "what do you think pamela is wearing tonight for dinner?" she asked
her and pamela have been hitting it off the past week. she likes pamela a lot. she felt like she was very misunderstood yet such a lovely person.
"pamela's not here." elsbeth announced which took alex and oliver by surprise but he didn't show any emotion about it. "wait, what?" alexandra asked with squinted eyes. "is she..." oliver said
"she's gone. james thought it would be better to peel her away this morning without too much of a scene. only so many hints you could drop." elsbeth claimed which saddened alexandra
"i'm going to go start getting ready." she announced then scurried off. elsbeth waited until she was far off. "they seemed to be hitting it off quite well." oliver mentioned
elsbeth sighed, "which surprises me. alexandra always seems to hit it off with people who are boring or leeches such as pamela." she said in a cold voice
"yeah she did seem a bit lost." oliver added
"ha, very tactful. she's a complete limpet." she quickly looked over at him, "the wettest of wet blankets. and very hard to know from looking at her because she's so stylish. you'd think she was a riot to look at her. but there's absolutely nothing going on underneath." oliver imposed a small smile while listening to her vent
she sipped her drink, "i know she's had a hideous time the past few years, but, honestly she did go on about it."
oliver glanced down then back up at her, "if all of it was true..." he voiced calmly as his chin rested on his hand. elsbeth slowly looked over at him, "what do you mean?"
oliver quickly looked around not even realizing he put his foot in his mouth, "i shouldn't have said that."
"no.. no.. go on." elsbeth replied. they then quickly discussed something about pamela having the conversation end on agreement with each other. after that talk, oliver found himself on the other side of the house that was far away from his room.
he heard muffled talking coming from alexandra's room. her door was wide open. oliver made sure not to be seen but was close to the door. "what's wrong?" he heard felix ask sweetly
"did you know that pamela was leaving?" alexandra asked patiently, there was a long pause making her scoff.
"i mean it was time for her to go." felix said nonchalantly making alexandra look at him with pure disgust. she quickly rubbed her temples with her hands not grasping how he was just acting like he doesn't care.
"you guys basically are putting her in danger. her ex boyfriend is a psycho murderer!!" alexandra yelled worryingly. felix breathed heavily, "she will be fine, i'm most certain alex." he assured
"no! she won't. you guys kicked her out knowing she has no where to go." alexandra said defensively
felix rolled his eyes, "so you would let her stay with you and your aunt for an eternity?"
alexandra scoffed, "absolutely especially knowing she would be in complete danger the minute she steps off the premises!" she stated in an obvious tone
"can you try to be understanding about this?"
"what is her phone number?" alexandra quickly asked ignoring his question. felix shrugged, "i don't know." she sighed getting frustrated
"why are you so worried? you've only known her for a week." felix tried to debate
"because she is my friend. plus she seems like an amazing person who needs a support system." alex declared
"alexandra, she is gone. in the past, let's just move on and enjoy the rest of the summer." felix concluded nicely. alex quickly sighed.
"i need to get ready." she said basically motioning for him to exit her room. he leaned down to kiss her forehead before heading out of her room, oliver was no where to be found
