alexandra was in her bathroom with venetia. both girls were brushing their teeth and getting ready for breakfast. they both were facing away from each other at their own sinks. alex basically had a whole side of the house to herself and her own bathroom but she didn't want to be alone the morning of her birthday so she asked if venetia would get ready with her. but venetia already planned on doing so but it all worked out in the end.
"so how do you feel about being seventeen?" venetia asked with a mouth full of toothpaste making alex laugh at her. alex quickly lifted herself up from the sink, she had her face in the ice cold water for five minutes. it was apart of her everyday routine. she quickly let the water drain down into the sink then grabbed a towel to dry her face
"feeling good. happy i'm here another year." alex smiled graciously. she heard venetia spit into the sink loudly. she wiped her mouth before speaking up
"you know you are so positive despite your story. i wish to be like that if i were to lose someone close to me that i love dearly." venetia mentioned
alexandra smiled, "i hope you are but it is always okay if you aren't. the loss of someone is not easy. you'll go through one of the five stages of grief. scary part is that you won't know what order it will be." she explained
she sighed, "c'mon. it's time for your birthday breakfast." she cooed happily, alex shot her a quick glare. "i already told you i don't want anything." she warned
venetia grabbed her wrists practically dragging her down the stairs. "we are following your orders i promise!!" venetia assured. as soon as they stepped into the dinner room, alexandra stopped then crossed her arms.
the serving table was filled with all of her favorite breakfast foods such as crepes, cornetti, maritozzi, and ricotta pancakes. all freshly made from scratch. sweet smells of all the pastries immediately hit her nose. there were birthday balloons tied on on a chair along with a fresh bouquet of daises.
alexandra couldn't help but to smile. felix walked over to her quickly towering over her. "happy birthday beautiful." he said quickly planting a kiss on her cheek then hugging her which caused her to blush immediately. he quickly escorted her to her seat which was right next to oliver who was silent. pamela then wished her a happy birthday.
