it was a rainy day in saltburn. breakfast was served inside of course. oliver stood by the window watching alexandra who was sitting out in the heavy rain. she hadn't moved from that spot in hours. elsbeth and sir james called out for her to come to breakfast but she was glued to the ground.

elsbeth sighed, "she is going to catch a cold." she said concerned about the girls mental health. "it was nice of her to send flowers to the pamela's family though." sir james called out

felix spoke, "should i go get her?" he asked. farleigh blew air out from the cigarette he was smoking looking over at felix, "just give her time. she will eventually come around." he assured as felix looked at her from the window. oliver went and sat down quietly. venetia glared over at him, they made quick eye contact.

"she needs to not attach herself to people like pamela. it isn't healthy." elsbeth claimed in all seriousness. sir james defended, "oh dear. she is a good kid who wants to help people, plus it was obvious she saw pamela for more than what she truly was." he explained

"she still needs to reconsider who she gets close to. with her high status and her family name, she doesn't have time to become friends with low class people." elsbeth said coldly

felix quickly excused himself from breakfast before running outside to check on alexandra. the past two days, she was in her room. she had been laying in bed all day with everyone pretty much rotating to check in on her frequently but there wasn't much time for conversation due to her being asleep everytime they checked in on her.

"alex!!" felix called out while running to her. he quickly squatted down to her level to see her just staring ahead. she looked like a lost soul. that sparkle in her eyes was missing.

it made felix sad seeing her this way. he knew he had to do something to make her feel better. "alex, come on. let me get you inside." he pleaded before standing up reaching out for her hand. alexandra quickly looked up at him then at his hand before taking it.

they walked together silently. duncan was standing in the door way with towels for the both of them who were soaking wet and smelled like fresh rain. "thank you duncan." felix said as he wrapped the towel around alexandra. she looked over at duncan forcing a smile, "thank you." she said quietly

"you're welcome dear. go take a shower before you catch a cold." duncan demanded in a nice way, alexandra quickly nodded then made her way up to her room. she immediately headed into the bathroom and stripped out of the cold wet clothes. she then got into the shower, only God knows how long she was in there

when she got out, she immediately wrapped a huge pink towel around her body then one around her damp and wet hair. she then brushed her teeth then walked out of the bathroom and screamed upon seeing felix sitting at the edge of her bed, she quickly sighed. "i-i'm sorry. i didn't mean to scare you." he said quickly standing up

a deep sigh escaped from her lips. "it's fine. i just wasn't expecting anyone to be in here." she admitted. felix headed towards the door.

"you don't have to leave felix." she stated which made him go sit back down. she nervously walked over to him then sat down beside him. she took the towel off her head and began to scrunch the water out of her hair which didn't take long.
