Mila felt her face flush red. He has to be joking. "Charles?"

"Yes Mila?"

The way he says my name makes me melt.

"Do you want to get a coffee? I know it's late but I'm too antsy to go to sleep already." I can't believe him. I need to distract from that comment.

"Yes," he answered quickly. "Come in, I'll get dressed."

Mila walked into his room and shut the door behind her. She stood awkwardly as he walked over to his suitcase to grab clothes.

"Sit on my bed Mila, I'll only be a second."

She sat down obediently, she was thinking he would tell her to go back to her room while he got dressed, not this!

Charles retreated to the en suite to get dressed, emerging when he was done, wearing a black compression shirt and grey sweats.

"So what made you decide to come this year? To all the races I mean?" He asked, as he shut the door to the bathroom behind him.

"Just work. And I left Alejandro a couple of months ago. So I needed a change."

"Oh shit, I didn't realise you broke up, I'm sorry." I'm glad of some confirmation, no obstacles.

Charles was now fully dressed and sat next to Mila on his bed.

"Don't be sorry, it was the best decision I've made in a while."

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"No thanks, maybe later though, don't want to bring the mood down."

"I don't think you could bring down the mood if you tried, Mila. Not for me anyway."

"Don't flatter me Leclerc, I know your games."

Charles looked alarmed for a second. "What games? I'm not trying to play you Mila."

"I know that, but you aren't as slick as you think you are," she said poking him on the nose.

"Hey! What do you mean," Charles complained, pouting and rubbing his nose.

"Oh nothing, it's the past now." Mila hopped up off the bed and dragged Charles after her, "let's go get that coffee."

Mila and Charles chatted for a while in the hotel cafe before realising the time, they began to go back to their rooms before Charles realised.

"Shit, I didn't bring my key."

"You idiot." Mila giggled.

"Hey, don't be mean Mils. It's not nice." Charles faked being sad. "I need to go back to the lobby and get a new key." He covered his face with his hands in frustration.

"Reception was closed when we walked past Charles. I don't know when it opens again."

"Oh my goodness. I am stupid. I should call Carlos and see if he would let me stay in his room." Charles began to find Carlos's number.

"He will be asleep Charles, just come to my room. I'll sleep on the couch."

"I won't make you do that. I'll sleep on the couch."

"In fact I'll race you for it. Winner takes the bed." With that Mila took off running towards the elevator.

Charles took his time walking back to the room. I won't make her sleep on the couch in her own room. I'm not a monster.

By the time Charles reached the room, Mila was standing at the door panting. "You didn't even try! You're taking the bed Leclerc, final orders."

"Nope, not if you're not in it with me." Charles was adamant.

Mila rolled her eyes, "If you insist Charlie. If you insist."

Mila crawled into bed next to Charles, she made sure not to wake the driver, who had already fallen asleep while she took off her makeup and put on her pyjamas.

Every feature on his face is perfect, even the stubble on his chin is too beautiful to resist.

Mila watched the rise and fall of his bare chest. She didn't expect him to strip down to only his boxers to sleep, but to be fair they were in Bahrain and he was wearing sweats before.

"Don't watch me sleep Mila." Charles groaned and rolled over to face her.

Mila immediately turned bright red and shook her head. "I wasn't, I swear."

He flicked off the light beside him, "Don't worry, I would too."

Mila laughed softly, "Sorry."

"Don't be Mila, I could watch you sleep too."

Charles shuffled closer to her, putting his arm around her gently. "Goodnight Mila Sainz." He whispered.

"Goodnight Charles Leclerc."
