Chapter Thirty-four: Exams and Summer.

"Immediately after the exams, promise?" Jace asks, sticking out his right pinky finger.

Pinky promise....

"Promise." I say and wrap my right pinky finger around his.

"Speaking of distraction, make sure to keep your mind away from anything about London. It's obviously a distraction and it's a way more distraction than any other thing. Keep your mind as far as possible from anything concerning London." I say.

"I know. I will." Jace says.

"If things get too serious, do what you usually do. Think of me, think of the good times we've had and the ones we're gonna have after the exams. But don't let the thoughts take over you, just let them cast away the more distracting ones." I say.

"Okay. I will do as you said, my tutor." Jace says playfully.

"Good student." I say playfully.

"Mia! We need you!" I hear a co-worker's voice call out from afar.

"Be right there!" I respond "Duty calls." I say to Jace.

"I'll see you when you're done working then." Jace says.

"What? Shouldn't you be on your way home?" I ask.

"No, I want us to hang out a little after your work so I'm gonna wait here for you." Jace says.

"Sorry to break this to you, but no. We're not gonna hang out later. We're gonna hang out after exams. I already made that clear." I say.

"Let's just do it like a final hangout or something." Jace says.

"It's not a final hangout." I say.

"Mia, please." Jace pleads.

"Jace, we've lots of time to hang out. All we've to do is wait till next week. It's not that far. Do you think I don't wanna hang out too? There's time for everything." I say.

"Can I at least wait just so I can see your face before going home?" Jace asks.

"What.....are you seeing another's face right now?" I ask.

"Come on....."

"Mia! Please get over here!" A co-worker's voice calls out from afar again, interrupting Jace.

"Jace, I really have to go." I say standing up for my seat.

"Mia....."

I stuff some fries into Jace's mouth to prevent him from saying anything.

I had brought the fries when we were about to start our revision.

"Enjoy the rest of the fries." I say.

I move to him and give him a peck on his cheek.

"If we're fortunate to meet each other before the exams, I'll give you a nice long kiss. Go home....I'll call or text you when I've the time. Buh....bye." I say.

I playfully pat Jace's shoulder and start running off to whenever reason I'm needed.

I'm gonna miss hanging out with my boyfriend but I can't risk it. This exam must be a total success.

"Yay! Summer break, here I come!" Michelle squeals, running around.

Exams are over!

I'm excited too.

My friends and I just entered our apartment.
