Abraham knew. He had seen it before. Something really bad was getting ready to happen. Charles had been there the day before, and he barely spoke to him. There were no questions about how the exhibit was progressing. He showed little interest in the new desecrated animal display for the children's section of the exhibit. Abraham knew Charles was upset about Naomi. Once Abraham figured out Willa was with Naomi and ok, he let Jane know. Jane was relieved to learn her friend was alive, but Abraham did not know for how long.

Abraham told her, "I am afraid that Charles believes that Willa is a nurse. He thinks she can save Naomi."

"She's not a nurse," said Jane, "But she's smart, and she can fake it. Maybe she has a plan."

Abraham, ever a pessimist or maybe just a realist said, " A plan won't save her if Naomi dies. It won't save any of us."

"What do we do?" asked Jane.

"I don't know," said Abraham. "All is lost."

"No, Abraham, it's not. We are smart and we are brave."

"What do we do then?" asked Abraham.

"We get ready, and we fight," said Jane.

"Just like that?"

Jane handed Abraham a rock. "Just like that."
