Bad Dreams

Loki awoke in bed, crying out in terror. He sat there in the dark, sobbing into his hands.

"Loki?" Mobius says softly, startling the god. Mobius immediately rushed over to his side, wrapping his arms around his distraught friend. "Shh, it's okay. It was just a bad dream. It's over now, it's over."

Loki clung onto Mobius as tightly as he could, his broken sobs shaking him to the core. The analyst simply held him tight, stroking his hair and whispering soft reassurances into his ear.

After a few minutes, Loki's sobs were reduced to a few soft sniffles as he laid curled in Mobius' arms. The analyst sighed tiredly, holding Loki in the safety of his arms. They were wrapped up in the warm quilt, Loki's head on Mobius' chest as he slowly drifted back off to sleep.

"Love you, Mobius." Loki mumbled sleepily, his fingers intertwined with Mobius'.

"Love you too, kitten." Mobius whispers softly, pressing a kiss to Loki's head. "For All Time, Always..."
