Loki and Mobius have been together for almost five years now. Well, the first three years they were still friends, but two years ago this Sunday, they will have been dating for two whole years. Mobius still doesn't know how he got so lucky...

As they laid in bed one night, Loki couldn't sleep. He had felt pretty crappy all day, not to mention that he currently was feeling what he prayed wasn't the beginning of another heat cycle. He had never gone through one with Mobius here, he didn't know how Mobius would react to finding out Loki goes through this kind of thing. At least it only happens once every five years, thank the Gods.

Loki looked over at Mobius, who was sitting up reading a bit of his favorite book before he went to sleep. Loki noted how handsome and distinguished Mobius looked in his reading glasses.

"Mobius?" Loki says softly.

"What's wrong, honey?" Mobius says quietly, setting his book and reading glasses down on the nightstand.

"Did you ever want to have a family?" Loki says quietly, biting his lip nervously.

"You know, I never used to think about that sort of thing. Mainly because I didn't know I was an actual human being during my time in the TVA. But now that I've got this amazing life with you, I can definitely see myself being a dad someday." Mobius says, stroking Loki's hair. "Why do you ask?"

"This is humiliating, but... I think I'm going into heat, and I don't know if I'm ready for kids right now, but it won't happen again for another five years." Loki says, shaking his head. "I'm just really confused right. I don't know what to do."

"Will it hurt? When you go into this... heat?" Mobius asks, always looking out for his Loki.

"Yes, but it only lasts for a week. I've suffered through it before." Loki says quietly, snuggling into Mobius' side. "I can suffer though it again."

"You don't have to." Mobius says softly, pressing a gentle kiss to Loki's lips. "I'm here now."

"B-but if we do this, I'll get pregnant. This is the only time that sort of thing can happen." Loki says softly, feeling the ache beginning deep in his belly. Loki was surprised by his own soft whimpers as the ache gnawed away at his insides. Suddenly he didn't care about the possibility of getting pregnant anymore, he just wanted Mobius to take the pain away.

"Don't worry, darling." Mobius says softly, holding Loki close as his fingers hooked into the waistband of the god's soft light gray sweatpants. "I'll always be here. You'll never have to suffer again, my love."
