I turn around to see Angelica. Frankie step- daughter.
"Sup' Angel." I said dapping her up.
"What you doing out here?" I asked her.
"Frankie. He uh needed me for..." She started to trail off.
"I getchu."
"Yeah uh someone new finally taking over so he just wanted me to know what I'd be doing and stuff now." She said.
"Some new people?"
"Yeah. My cousins in town. My older cousin Symere taking over." She said.
"Damn so you got to meet up with em and stuff?"
"Nah. Ian seen them since the incident." She said.
"Incident? What incident?"
"Eh...I don't know if I should say..." She said.
"You know me, Angel. Ian gon go around saying shit."
"Well...some years back, they got attacked. Parents died. They had to run for awhile. At least until Mere was ready to take over." She said.
"So they finna go back to Atlanta?" I asked her.
"Nah. Not yet. They can't. Mere ain't fully took over yet. Until then, they gotta stay away from there for safety reasons." Angel explained.
"Damn..."
"Yeah...it's crazy." She said.
"But uh I gotta get up outta here." She said.
"Where you finna go?"
"My girl been tripping, so I'm finna go see her and bring her some food. She gets fussy when she miss me." She said.
"Yeah my girl be that way."
"Yeah. See you, Mar." She said before walking away.
"See you."
I take out my phone and call Kayla.

"Where you at?"
"Home. Why?" She asked.
"I got some shit to tell you. You by yourself?"
"Yeah." She said.
"I'm on my way over there."
