He looked at George simply staring out into the cloudy skies...
He seems really depressed.
He then decides to start a discussion.
"Hey, you are looking for someone or-"
George - I did... but I am not sure she is alive anymore... we've split up for a while now...
Otto - Oh, how did it happen?...
George - Why do you care? Nothing matters anymore, look out there at this mess!
His line echoed throughout the cage and the nearby area.
Otto - Shhhh okay okay, just don't scream.
George - Why? .... you ran into them too huh?
Otto didn't answer yet, he let's the man finish.
George - The clans, those gangs of thieves and bandits... they are very violent. I should know, I've seen them even slay their own men.
That's the state of nature... you lie, you cheat, you steal... by force too.
They heard someone coming into the cave as they hide behind some rocks.
Kevin - Hey rookie! Are you awake?
George was about to jump him but Otto stopped him.
Otto - Wow wow don't worry he's the local.
Kevin looks confused but then looked concerned at George.
He didn't expect anymore people here.
Otto - And answer your question, yep for a while now.
Kevin approached them carefully now.
Otto - Is something urgent?
Kevin - I only came to warn you, me and my family have to leave. They are coming.
Otto - Gem aliens?
Kevin - Not this time, it's the gangs and clans. They are passing by the area, they may wanna see if there's anyone inside. We are dead meat if they catch us.
George looked distressed at that.
Otto nodded, understanding the they have to hurry up quickly.
[At a later time]
Otto - So you also had run-ins with them?
Lily - There are a bigger packs around here... Whatever little resources are here, those cults take it. Whoever they find, the cults enslave....even... us...
Otto looked at them then at George who nodded sadly.
Emma - You said we did 'also'. You mean you and Mr George too?
George looked away, not wanting to look into the youth's eyes...
Otto - Slave owners... that just stinks...
Bart - It reeks actually! You get tired of moving from one place to another.
If he felt bad for them before, he feels even more now.
Then it's set in his mind... he has to find warp pad or gem ship. But first, the gangs must be avoided.
George - I'm not coming actually...
Otto , Emma, Bart look at him surprised. Kevin and Lily weren't as bothered.
Otto - What? They'll kill you.
George I will hide and watch them somewhere close...
Emma - But why? Don't listen to Bart, dying here won't be worth it!
