As the evening at the office turned into night, Taehyung usually found himself working late, often leaving the office well past midnight. He was known for his dedication to his job, but today was different. Despite his lingering desires and wandering thoughts, he managed to finish his work relatively early.

The fact that he wrapped up his tasks ahead of schedule surprised both him and his employees. They couldn't believe their eyes when he announced he was leaving for the day before it was even dark outside. Taehyung's determination to get back home earlier than usual couldn't be concealed.

The reason behind Taehyung's early departure was clear. His mind was consumed by thoughts of Jungkook, and he couldn't wait to be reunited with his jungkookie. The memory of Jungkook's disheveled appearance in just a long shirt had left him distracted and restless throughout the day.

With a sense of anticipation building, Taehyung made his way back to home by being desperate to see jungkook.

Taehyung, having returned home from work, first headed to the kitchen, where the maids were busy preparing dinner. As he entered, he couldn't help but feel a longing for Jungkook. He inquired, "Where is Jungkook?"

The maids replied, "He's in his room, sir, after returning from school"

Grateful for their response, Taehyung decided to visit Jungkook in his room. He was eager to see his beloved husband after a day apart, his heart filled with warmth and desire. Walking through the grand halls of their mansion, Taehyung made his way to Jungkook's room.

When he reached the slightly open door to Jungkook's room, he leaned against the doorframe, his posture and presence exuding a magnetic charm.

Taehyung's eyes fell upon Jungkook, who was engrossed in a book. It was none other than a dark romance novel that had captured Jungkook's imagination. Taehyung couldn't help but notice his husband's adorable reactions—giggles, blushing, and even kicking his feet in excitement.

Unable to contain his amusement, Taehyung couldn't resist teasing Jungkook. "Enjoying reading, princess ?" he asked with a playful glint in his eyes.

Jungkook was startled, not having noticed Taehyung's presence. He stammered, "Uh, um, hi. When did you come in?" he chuckled awkwardly.

Taehyung moved closer, the corners of his lips curling with amusement. "So, you are reading a fantasy book, huh?" he asked, already aware of the book's nature.

Jungkook, trying to hide the book's title, responded with a nervous chuckle, "Um, yeah, it's a good story."

Seeing Jungkook's reaction, Taehyung couldn't resist smirking. "Oh, really? Well, let me have a look then," he said, reaching for the book.

Jungkook tried to resist, but Taehyung's strength was undeniable. He held the book firmly in his grasp. Frustrated, Jungkook attempted to jump and grab the book back, but he couldn't reach it, and their closeness sent him stumbling.

Inadvertently, their proximity made Taehyung grip Jungkook's waist, preventing him from falling. Jungkook blushed furiously but decided to request the book. "Hyung, give it back. You might be tired; you should go get freshened up."

Taehyung agreed, but not without a hint of playfulness. He whispered, "Of course, but let me see it first, my butterfly. Let me see what you enjoy reading so much."

Jungkook struggled to retrieve the book, but Taehyung's grip on his waist was unyielding. As Taehyung glanced at the book's first page, he noticed the dedication: "For anyone who has ever dreamed of being a princess or prince in the villain's arms..."

A mischievous smirk curled on Taehyung's lips. He leaned closer to Jungkook and playfully teased, "So, you dream of being a princess in a arms of a villain, huh? Well my princess you are already in my arms, now do you want me to be your villain too ?"

The atmosphere between them was charged with a playful tension as Taehyung continued to hold the book and their eyes locked in a shared secret.

As Taehyung and Jungkook exchanged playful glances, their moment was interrupted by a gentle knock on the door. Both of them turned their attention to the door, where the maids had come to remind them about dinner.

Maid: "Sir, the dinner is ready."

Taehyung reluctantly released his grip on the book and, with one final teasing smile directed at Jungkook, he gave it back to him.

Jungkook, still flustered by their close encounter, managed to regain his composure.

After that, Taehyung told Jungkook, "I'm going to freshen up; it will take just 5 minutes. We'll have dinner together, okay?"

Jungkook nodded, and as Taehyung left for his room, Jungkook also headed to freshen up.

When they both returned to the dining table, Taehyung went to sit beside Jungkook. However, Jungkook, still feeling a bit flustered, moved to the opposite side of the table.

Taehyung noticed and reassured him, saying, "I won't eat you."

Jungkook, with a playful glint in his eyes, responded, "Maybe not yet..."

Taehyung smirked, continuing the banter, "Not yet, right?"

While enjoying their meal, Taehyung couldn't help but notice that Jungkook wasn't eating much—a pattern he had observed since Jungkook's arrival. Initially, he brushed it off, thinking it might be due to a lack of hunger. However, as the days passed, and Jungkook's eating habits remained consistent, Taehyung's concern grew.

Today, as they sat down for dinner, Taehyung decided to address the matter. He looked at Jungkook with a furrowed brow and asked, "Is everything okay? You haven't been eating much since you came here. Are you feeling unwell or something?"

Jungkook, caught off guard by Taehyung's direct inquiry, hesitated for a moment. Eventually, he replied, "Um, it's nothing, just not very hungry."

Taehyung, persistent in understanding Jungkook's well-being, reached out to touch his forehead, checking for any signs of a fever. "You don't seem to be yourself. If something's bothering you or if you're not feeling well bub, you can tell me. I'm here for you," Taehyung reassured with a gentle expression.

Jungkook appreciated Taehyung's concern but decided not to share the real reason behind his diminished appetite. Instead, he managed a small smile and said, "It's just the change in environment, maybe. I'll be fine, don't worry too much."

Taehyung, though still concerned, respected Jungkook's wish not to delve into it further. He smiled back and said, "Alright, if you say so. But if there's anything you need or if you start feeling worse, let me know, okay?"

After they finished their meal, Taehyung dropped unexpected news on Jungkook. He informed him that his parents were returning from America, having completed their work. Jungkook felt a mixture of emotions—happy about reconnecting with familiar faces but nervous about the impressions he might leave.

When Taehyung suggested that Jungkook share a room with him until his parents left, Jungkook's nerves kicked in. Stammering, he tried to decline, "No, it's alright. I'll tell mom that I wanted to have a room for myself to sleep alone."

Taehyung's expression turned cold as he asserted, "Do what I said. Go to your room and bring your things."

Jungkook reluctantly nodded and headed back to his room.
