Chapter 14- Emerald.

"Assalamualaikum Paree", Munira wished as she entered the house,

Adam was seated on the couch and Laibah sat alongside feeding her baby girl, "Assalamualaikum aunty", she greeted back,

"Walaikumusalaam bete, where's your mom?", she asked settling down,

"She's upstairs, I'll call her", said Adam and gave a call to his mother,

Meanwhile Munira was speaking to Laibah, "So Laibah, how's life?",

"It's hauntingly beautiful, i cannot completely say its bad but there are moments that make me feel bad", she replied as the baby took a bite,

"Yeah....i agree...motherhood is a roller coaster", Munira said, "when i had Aarzu, i couldn't even figure out what just happened, one moment i was fine the other moment i was holding a baby.....it just happens",

Hearing Aarzu's name Laibah asked, "Where's she?",

"She's at home, she'll come later"

"You came alone?", Adam asked,

"No javed dropped me and Aariz"

"Where's he?", Laibah asked,

"He's outside with your dad",

Laibah laughed, "dad's the kind of uncle i hated during my teens",

Adam laughed at her sentence and nodded his head,

"Assalamualaikum dulhan", Munira wished as Raina raced down the stairs with happiness and excitement,

"Walaikumusalaam Muni aunty", she said and searched the whole room, "Where's jaani? I mean Aarzu?",

"She'll come later beta, she also said she'll call you"

Raina nodded her head in disappointment, how could Aarzu ditch her on her big day? She thought they'd get ready together and take loads of photos, "arey Munira, sorry for making you wait", Pareesima's voice interrupted her thoughts,

"It's okay, come"

"Raina's phuppu was on call"

"Why? What happened?"

"They're coming today na....she'll eat my head a 1000 times"

Munira laughed, "who are the guests?",

"Only family.....Abrar's family..our family...thats it"

Raina walked back to her room, "Hey, Raina go eat something", Paree told her disappointed daughter,

"I'm not hungry anymore ", she replied leaving the hall,

"She's sad because Aarzu didn't come", Laibah said while making an eye contact with Adam,

"Adam? Go get us some gajrey...we'll wear on the event"

Adam cleared his throat, he turned towards the baby, "you wanna come along with mama?", he told the baby and picked her up, he held her in the air as she brought her little hands and clutched his nose, he scrunched his face which made her giggle,

"Wait lemme change her top and you can take her", Laibah told,

A few minutes later Adam went out with Alizah to buy gajrey while Munira and Paree were arranging all of the things for the event.
