Gary inside the kitchen, he looks at the clock. It's 10:45. The kids have not made it back home yet. He begins to wonder where they are. Until his eyes focuses on the table. The table is still filled with food. Not hot and warm anymore. Going to the cupboards, he grabs some plastic. He plans to put the remaining food in the fridge.

Wrapping the chicken and rice in plastic, he puts the chicken in the fridge. Leaving it open to make it easier for him to put the rice there. Once done he returns to the white rice. Once he grabs it...

Bang. The fridge door closes. Gaining Gary's attention. He looks behind him where the fridge is. The fridge door is closed. Curious on what's going on, he approaches the fridge door. Looking around, nothing. Everything is clear. He opens the fridge door again, wanting to make it easier for him to put the white rice there. As he returns to the plate and holds it...

Bang. The fridge door closes again. Gary looks behind him. But no one is there. Unsure what's going on, he holds the plate. Walks slowly to the fridge door. Looking around him, no one. He opens the fridge door again. Slowly. Steady.

He puts the plate inside the fridge, before closing the fridge door. No one is around. Thinking it was nothing, probably the fridge door has a tendency to move in order to close its doors.

Approaching the sink with the two plates filled with food stains, he opens the tap water and washes the plates.

The door for the kitchen, behind him far away, a figure. Dark, hard to know what it looks like as it breaths. Continuously breathing. Only staring at Gary as he continues to wash the dishes. Washing the dishes, Gary hums some songs to entertain himself, make the washing and cleaning less boring for him.

The kitchen lights closes. The hell. He looks around. Unsure why or how the lights in the kitchen turn off. He walks to the light switch. The light switch still looks clean and untouched. He flicks the switch. Opening the lights again. Finding it weird. He walks back to the dishes. Only one plate remaining, he finishes it. Putting it next to the washed plates. The glasses were washed next. Putting the sponge onto the glass...

The kitchen light closes again. Gary looks up. He looks around. There's no light. Total, plain darkness.

"Jen, are you awake?" No response. It's all quiet. Not freaking him out yet. He walks slowly to the light switch.

Too dark for him to see. He touches the light switch. Still looks clean. Nothing dirty coming out of it. He flicks the light switch again. Opening the lights again. Nothing wrong with the lights but being bothered over what's going on, he tries to ignore it. Walking back to the sink.

Till the lights, turning on and off. Causing flickering sounds from the lights. Gary turns himself slowly behind where the light switch is, only for the lights to stop flickering. To become total darkness. Hard to see again, he doesn't know what he's seeing.

"Jen, if you're umm still awake, whatever you're doing, this isn't funny." No response, it's all quiet. Becoming freaked out over what's happening, his anxiety taking over his body, he walks to the light switch. He flicks it. But the light switch isn't turning on. He flicks it. Once, twice, many times but nothing.

"That's weird." He says to himself.

A thudding noise, coming from upstairs. He can hear it. It's not that loud but it's enough for him to hear it.

"Jen is that you?" No response from her but the thudding noises starts to become more creeking. Coming from upstairs. He looks up.

Gary has his phone next to him. A flashlight feature that would help shine a light in front of him. With the light now shining, he goes to the light switch for upstairs. It doesn't open. The sounds continue from upstairs. Unsure what's happening, he moves himself up. Slowly. His anxiety taking over everything. His body, his thoughts, his actions.
