Outside now dark, the streets remain empty. No one walking on the pavements, all remaining in their homes in this time of the nights with no cars driving on the road passing by. Inside the house, it's been half an hour. The only light remaining in the house is the kitchen and the living room. Danny doesn't like the dark. Feeling someone or something could use the dark to their own uses, their own purposes.

He sits on the sofa, closing the light along the way. Not feeling tired yet, his eyes remaining wide open. He looks at his phone. Seeing the names: Amy, Joe. Amy created a group chat for the three of them to talk all together.

Seeing this, with his airpods still in both of his ears, he goes to the phone icon, pressing it, causing his phone to ring. Unsure if they're still awake, or maybe still there. Doing something at this time of the night. Waiting for a few minutes, till the phone stops ringing.

"Hello."

"Helloooo..."

"Hey guys, it's me." Amy and Joe responds to him. Doing the usual greetings. Asking how each of them are. As well as why they're not tired and what they're doing at this time of the night. "Ahh just staying up late. Don't feel sleepy at all, except Jen. She's way more tired than I am." Amy and Joe get it after a brief silence. Doesn't really show their expressions and body movements, all from the other side of the connection.

"Okay, you may have told us why you're up late but there's got be another reason for that." Danny becomes confused. "What do you mean?"

The conversation with the three of them would continue. Upstairs, the lights remain really dark. All doors remained closed. None of the door knobs have locks of their own. Going inside one room, Jen's room. Her room, no light on. Usually turns it off when it gets dark to save electricity on the lightbulbs and the light switches in this room.

On the bed, Jen, fast asleep. Breathing in and out in her sleep, having a dream that only her could see. It's quiet there. Nothing to wake her up. Danny, downstairs, trying to keep himself in a quiet tone to not wake up his sister. Waking up early, brings out the worst in her. Would lead to Danny and Jen having some fights between the two of them that would last longer than a few seconds. Outside of her room, in the upstairs hallway, the door for Danny's room, opens. Inside the room, seeing a hand on the door knob. Putting the knob down, allowing the door to open, with small, creaking noises coming out of it.

Slowly, the door opens. Revealing a dark figure. Hard to see in the dark. His height, small. His appearance, hard to tell based on the darkness, masking what he looks like. His feet, moving slowly, he can hear Danny. From downstairs. Talking to his friends. Groaning, it turns its attention to a door. A door that belongs to Jen.

Jen, still fast asleep, couldn't hear the slow, creeking noises coming outside from her room. Her door knob, going down. Moving slowly. But giving a loud noise, only for Jen to hear. Making her move her head. Bothering her. But not waking her completely. Thinking it was coming from her dream. People, dreaming a nightmare, something scary, tends to move their heads, make them speak, say words for their own safety.

The door moves, slowly. Letting out more noise coming out from it. Waking her up, she turns her head onto the door. Albeit, not completely, her eyes still a bit closed, still feeling sleepy as she couldn't see the door properly. Her vision, still a bit blurred from it as she soon starts to slowly return to her sleep.

She lays her head back onto the bed. Closing her eyes. Leaving her to fall back into her sleep. Till the noise from the door, opening, slowly preaching onto her. Making her move her body onto her right side. Not wanting to hear it.

The door keeps moving. Opening, slowly but not completely. It creeps in. Amy opens her eyes again, but not completely. Becoming more bothered by the noise.
