He looks into her eyes
They're standing in the rain
She doesn't want to say goodbye
She wants him to love her the same
But then comes his ride
And he just waves goodbye
As she just starts to cry
And the car starts to drive
Home he went
There she cried
She really loved him
But he doesn't know why
Maybe it wasn't meant to be
Maybe it was a mistake
But for as long as they are friends
She'll just smile and pretend everything is okay.
