Good?

There was more to you both

More than my mind could remember.

How could I hate you now?

You did what you thought was for the better.

On the days you were home

You'd make us so happy.

Father, you were such a good cook

Even though everything else in my childhood was crappy.

So when you tried to prove you were worthy

You tried your very best.

Trying to shower us in gifts and love

When you were both just a mess.

But how could I hate you?

You did what you could do.

Yet, you knew you weren't fit for children

So when you had each of us, how could you?

How could you put us through this?
