Exiting the gun store with a pitch black briefcase, he had successfully manage to purchase his first ever dust weapon.

however he is very much unhappy.

dealing with the old man Simon in the store, despite his experience in negotiation back on earth it was very straining to always carefully choose his word carefully and dealing with the old man passive semblance.

so careful with his word that he made a blunder while negotiating for a firearm choice and by allowing the old man Simon to lead the conversation, he was quickly swept with no counter attack and-

surprisingly despite looking very rugged and much lacking in the Bussines and marketing department, He is a terrifying salesman managing to convince him without a second to contemplate directing the situation to his advantage and uses his experience in firearm to spit out foreign part which despite (Y/n) knowledge in firearm back on earth, due to his lack of knowledge of he remnant convoluted weaponry could only understand a minuscule amount of it.

When compared to his acquittances and even the snake tongue salesman that he often work with back on the office, Simon outclassed them in every way possible.

Whether or not the old man really does have a lie detection semblance is actually unknown to him, in fact He doesn't even have a solid proof or reading for his theory in Simon semblance. Looking back at his action it seems strange that his clear minded attitude suddenly seems to break in middle of conversation.

It's definitely strange that his train of thought become more paranoid.

He couldn't understand how he made that reasoning, as looking back there was almost nothing wrong with the old man behavior. 

At first his thought went to his sanity.

But he haven't even use his Semblance even A Single time this day, and with his sanity still being in the high nineties its unlikely for any change to happened at his behavior currently...

what if? the damage is already done by the aftermath?

for example lets use a term from the game the Observer dungeon. when a character with low mental stat got their limbs amputated but restored with a healing potion instead of the damage fully disappearing, there is a chance of a status effect such as phantom pain to appear, a psychological effect that damage you constantly without a clear cause.

Perhaps the after effect still remained even when the sanity is restored and due to him constantly draining his sanity and restoring his sanity especially with the battle back in the Beowolf forest. the effect has stacked and accumulated to much psychologically and started to even affect him in high sanity.

if so, he need to adjust his plan.

dealing with the accumulated aftermath is now the priority.

sure he still need to be reminded about a dark soul level boss in the next five days.

but he rather deal with body injury rather than fuck with mental or psychological damage.

Walking through the park again, there is much more people with the coming of the afternoon.

a buff man and shortstack couple, a family of five, a random annoying child, an adorable Atlas husky, a bitch, random npc, everything you could see in a park.

walking through the park he couldn't help but glance at one side.

sitting on a branch is none other than the deer Faunus that he see out of the diner.

looking blankly into nowhere with dark expression, withstanding the countless gaze of disgust directed at him.
