Nishita

“Damn, engagement is on 21st November” Noor was linking her arms, well it’s usually me, and looks like the roles reversed today. “Well yeah”

“You should be looking excited since you are going to choose your dress, damn it girl” I just smiled at her, “Well, I am excited but for dress.”

“That’s the whole point baby” I just gave her a look. “Also, do you know how long we have to wait for him?” I looked at her, “We are early, he would be on time, just like last time.”

“Looks like you know a lot about him.” I just shook my head in disbelief, she just needs a sentence to tease me. “Well there’s only 10 days left now, can’t believe my girl is grown up.”

And here she goes, “Do you want to enjoy or not Noor” She gave me a smile which always made my day. “Did you tell Ity about the dates?” I nodded, “I informed her, hoping she gets her days off” Ity being in Bangalore, was always something I would be sad about because I really wanted her here with me but it’s fine, work. I was happy that Noor gets her days off on weekends at least we can hangout whenever we want.

I got distracted from my thoughts because my phone suddenly started ringing, I looked at the caller ID, and it read ‘Seungcheol’ well I saved it after he called that day out of the blue. I didn’t want to go around answering his calls without knowing it was him.

I picked up the call, “Hello”
“Where are you?”

“I’m on the ground floor only, near the escalators”

“Look back” I turned to look at my back and I saw him walking, wearing casuals. If I wasn’t wrong he was with Heesung today and one more guy whom I didn’t recognize. Seungcheol waved at me and I hung up the call. “Look, there he is” and Noor smiled. He was wearing a black tee and beige pants. “Hi” he smiled, showing his dimples; probably I didn’t notice them that day.

“Hi” I tried smiling.

“Hi, I am Noor” he smiled at her
“Hi, I am Seungcheol and this is Heesung, my brother”

“Hi Noor” he smiled at her and then looked at me, “Hi Nishita” he gave me a bigger smile, well he didn’t change much but he changed a bit. “Hi, Heesung” I gave him a smile.

“And this is my bestfriend, more like the best buddy, Jeonghan” he introduced his friend, well I didn’t know they would be joining us.
“Hi Nishita and Hi Noor. Nice to meet you”

“Hi” both me and Noor said at the same time. Looked like I wasn’t the only one who thought to bring my bestfriend, looked like he also adored his friend a lot.

“Did bhai tell you that day I missed you?” I looked at Heesung confused, what was he talking about, Seungcheol was about to say something but Heesung spoke “Looks like he didn’t even mention me” he gave Seungcheol a look then looked at me, “Doesn’t matter, let me tell you now, I missed you, can’t believe we are meeting after so long.”

“Same here” I gave him a smile. I looked at Noor and then Seungcheol, “Well shall we go now?” everyone nodded. I held Noor’s arms out of habit and started walking infront of these three. “Did you decide on the colours yet?” I heard Heesung’s voice.

“Yes,” I always had this thought whenever I used to sketch, how my dress and which colours would look but I never thought I would be using my idea like this which I discarded almost a few years ago. Marriage was something I never expected and wanted.

“Great, let’s go and see what you pick up” I smiled at the thought of checking dresses.

We were going around and finally entered the shop. I almost let out a gasp when I saw the dresses, I felt alive at the same time. For a designer, clothes, fabrics, the embroidery work make you feel alive.
