"Wake up, man." Johnny shook me.

I was curled up against Dallas, who slept peacefully on his back.

"I'm up." I groaned, sitting up in bed.

Johnny was already sitting up.

He had a blank expression on his face, as he tried to make sense of seeing me curled up against Dallas.

"Come on, let's get ready. I don't wanna be almost late again." I told Johnny.

I climbed over Dallas, and got out of bed.

"Get up." I shook Dallas, who jolted awake.

I didn't think he would be a light sleeper.

"Jesus Christ." Dallas gasped, running his hand over his face.

I kicked the boys out, while I got changed for school.

I did my makeup and brushed my hair, before I made my way to the bathroom.

I did my business, and brushed my teeth.

Before we left for school, I slammed down a cup of coffee and grabbed the crumpled up note that I had to have signed.

Then, the five of us began our walk to school.

Ponyboy and Two-bit walked a head of us.

Johnny and Dallas walked on both sides of me.

"Hey," Dallas whispered to me, "Let's ditch today.  Do something fun?"

A small smile lit up on my lips.

"No, maybe next week." I replied.

Dallas smiled, and rolls his eyes.

"Oh, come on," Dallas groaned taking a few steps closer to me, "you know you want to."

Dallas then dragged his finger tips down the back side of my arm.

Mhmmmmm

"I can't.  I gotta bring this note in, and if I get in trouble another time this week... Darry will bury me in the back yard." I chuckled.

Dallas sighed defeated, as we continued our walk to school.

We walked into the school, and I dropped my note off in the office.

As we walked through the school, Dallas followed Johnny and I to our lockers.

Johnny's was just a couple down from mine.

"I thought you were ditching today?" I said to Dallas, as he hovered over me.

Dallas leaned against the lockers besides me.

"Ehhh, no fun without you." He smiled softly.

"Hey." Marcia smiled, as she opened her locker.

Marcia is a soc, and her locker is right next to mine.

I don't mind though, Marcia has always been nice to me.

"Mornin." I smiled back at her.

"You going to prom?" She asked me.

"If I had a date I would." I laughed.

"Well, be optimistic." Marcia shrugged, before she waved goodbye and went off to her class.

Dallas looked at me confused, as he tried to take in the conversation that he just listened to.

"You better get to class." I told him.
