Firdausi's graduation is today and everyone was getting ready to go to the International Conference Center for the graduation. Firdaus left to go to her bestfriend hanifa's house to get ready with her.
She - bilkisu - wore a pastel brown body hug dress which complemented her hourglass figure. She added an abaya on top in the same shade and paired it with a dark brown jersey veil and a hand bag.
She opted for a nude makeup look and made sure she looked fine before leaving her room.

Bilkisu went downstairs and she met zayd and Amal waiting for her. "What took you so long?" Amal asked. "Mama I'm sorry, let's go!" She replied. "Don't try to get out of this young lady." Amal said glaring at her daughter. "Baba please talk to her for me." Bilkisu said with pleading eyes.
Moments later, they all got into zayd's car and he ignited the engine and drove out of the parking lot.
~~~ The Ahmed's walked into the graduation hall and found their seats. "You invited the Ibrahim's koh?" Zayd asked bilkisu. She nodded "yes I did." She replied. "Okay Ma Sha Allah." Zayd said.
The ceremony started by 10:00 and the Ibrahim's arrived 5 minutes after. Akram found the Ahmed's and led his family to their seats. "Assalamu Alaykum." Umar greeted zayd, amal, and bilkisu. "Wa'alaikum Salam." they chorused. After they - the Ibrahim's - all sat down, they paid attention to the ceremony.
"The best student in the department of art is..." the MC said enthusiastically. The suspense was killing bilkisu. She wanted firdaus to get the award because it has always been her wish. "Firdausi Ahmed Bello!" He - The MC - announced. Everyone cheered loudly as firdausi walked up the stage to collect her award.
Bilkisu cheered as firdausi came down the stage. After a few more awards were presented, the ceremony ended and both the Ahmed's and the Ibrahim's went to take pictures with firdaus and some of her friends.
Zayd suggested that they all went to a restaurant to have dinner. He told Umar that they would meet at Gusto for the dinner.
~~~ "God the food is so nice." Firdausi said and everyone laughed. "You're not okay." Bilkisu said rolling her eyes and facing her food again. The two families gisted a bit before they decided to call it a night and everyone went their separate ways.
In Umar's car, Akram was thinking and he decided he was ready to take bilkisu's gaisuwa. He was sure of it and he wanted to let his parents know. He decided to wait till they got home first.
10 minutes later, they arrived at the mansion and everyone came down. Ibrahim came down first and rushed into the house while Akram shook his head. ~~~
"Baba, mama, I want to talk to you about something." Akram said staring at his parents. "Go ahead." Umar and Hamida chorused. "So...I think I'm ready to take bilkisu's gaisuwa." He said. Umar and Hamida exchanged looks.
After a moment of silence, Umar spoke. "Okay. We'll have to make our intentions known to her parents first. So we'll get everything needed and settle a date." He said and Akram nodded slowly.
"After that we can take the Sadaki." He added and Akram nodded yet again.
"But I don't want her to know, at least not now because I know she will panic and say I'm rushing things but I know I'm not. I swear it." Akram said with pleading eyes. Hamida let out a chuckle.
"We understand, we won't tell her. Just get firdaus to not tell her about it, and asmau too, they've gotten closer these few days." Hamida said. "Okay mama I'll do that." He - akram - replied.
~~~ The next day, Akram was anything but calm as he, Ibrahim and their parents were heading to the Ahmed's house for the proposal. Akram was nervous but he calmed himself down.
There were a lot of gifts that were placed in the car for bilkisu's family. Accepting the gifts will determine whether the marriage proposal has been accepted or not.
"You'll be fine okay?" Hamida said to Akram as he nodded slowly.
When they got to the mansion, akram's heart beat faster but he managed to act calm. They were welcomed by the Ahmed's and they sat in the living room to discuss everything.
Bilkisu wasn't there as Akram had requested for her to be absent during the meeting.
The Ahmed's accepted the gifts which meant they had accepted the proposal. Akram was the happiest person there and he made firdaus promise not to tell bilkisu anything.
After a while, Akram and his family left. They settled on a date to bring the Sadaki and they agreed on an amount as well. .
