That voice was familiar.. Al Haitham turned around and saw Kaveh above the water surface, half his body seen and hair soaked from the rough waves.

A sense of relief washed over Al Haitham as he saw Kaveh's face above the water surface. He almost cried, as he was relieved that he was alright.

"Kaveh, you.. you're alright?"

His eyes widened as he saw the damp hair, and he was worried if it was a sign of some other underlying health condition that the merman may be suffering from.

"Are you hurt?"

He asked this with a concerned tone to Kaveh, who he still worried about greatly.

"Hurt? Me? Look at you! You almost died!"

Al Haitham's eyes widened at Kaveh's words. He nearly completely forgot about his situation as he was in survival mode.

He quickly looked at his clothes, and saw that they were drenched in water and there was a lot of seaweed attached to it.

"I.. I did, didn't I?"

He realized just now that he was wet, cold and soaked. He was so occupied by saving Kaveh, that he left himself behind in the process.

"Thankfully my shark friend saw you and guided you to safety!"

Al Haitham's eyebrows lifted at that revelation, for he didn't know merman could communicate with aquatic life. He always knew that the merman race was a unique one, but he didn't know to what extent it was the case.

"You can talk to sea creatures..?"

He was amazed, and slightly jealous, as Al Haitham felt that this was a power that only a select few had.

"This is very fascinating.."

"Mhm! Explain! What were you doing out there by yourself?!"

Kaveh said while splashing some water at Al Haitham.

"I was.. trying to find you."

Al Haitham looked back at Kaveh, and couldn't help but admire his beautiful appearance. Even when he was wet and soaked, his eyes still looked so dazzling.

"You didn't need to splash water at me though." He said this while smiling, knowing that Kaveh was still very much the energetic Merman that he met yesterday.

"It's my way of showing anger. And finding me for what?"

Kaveh replied back, still with a hint of anger.

"I wanted to find you because I met you yesterday, and.."

Al Haitham looked at Kaveh, and couldn't help but see a hint of annoyance. Al Haitham was confused as to why that was the case, for he meant no disrespect to the merman.

"Is something wrong?"

He asked this with genuine confusion, for he wanted to have a proper discussion without all the anger and annoyance.

"Do you not want to be found?"

"No.. humans are clumsy"

"I know that. And I'm happy that you can. But it's not a good reason to be so hostile towards me." Al Haitham thought about Kaveh's statement, and felt that it was unfair. He was trying to be as genuine and polite as possible, yet Kaveh seemed to not even acknowledge that.

"I'm sorry for bothering you."

He said this with a frown, and his tone was a lot softer, as he seemed to have lost some confidence in the merman's approval.
