It feels like a cop out to post half of the chapter for the last chapter here but I would rather update what I can than delay things more in an uncertain manner.

Also I can't promise regular Monday updates anymore. I will just post whenever possible.

For BOTE anniversary on 6th nov, discord is doing some questions and answers kinda thing. If you have any questions/ideas/suggestions/requests for the fic then comment it here.

With Cale uncharacteristically quiet, the viewing resumed with a solemn air. After a brief….'conversation'...with the God of Death, it was decided that the viewing would continue with Cale's test rather than Choi Han's.

Cale started to think.

‘Ah, should I not have said that he is the strongest here?’

Truthfully, no one was in the mood to return to their previous lighthearted atmosphere. There were way too many thoughts going through their minds and they were painfully aware of every single movement Cale made, despite trying to hide it.

Eventually Eruhaben had to send everyone a telepathic message.

'We need to stop making it obvious that we are hung up on what we saw about Cale's past. If I can notice it then Cale can notice it too. Don't speak if you aren't sure if your words will make things worse but at least stop constantly glancing at him every few seconds.'

Of course, it was easier said than done and the dragon himself had to stop himself from falling under his thoughts again and undergoing partial transformation a couple of times but it was something they had to do.

And nobody could say that this group of people would refuse to do something that would benefit Cale Henituse.

Nodding at each other, they decided to at least get some conversations going.

He got cold sweats. He turned his gaze. The knights outside the steel cage were frozen stiff without any of them daring to move.

Booboboboooooooooom--!

The cave was shaking.

The black mana coming out from the young Dragon in front of Cale was causing it.

“...Destroy... everything......”

The best at acting and managing situations, Alberu was the one to take the lead in this matter.

"Wow, I can't believe you really managed to motivate a dragon to destroy everything. If I am not wrong, the original Raon-nim was supposed to blow up the mountain, right? Do you really want to see that happen?"

Picking up the hint, Raon turned his beautiful big blue eyes towards Cale. "Human, do you want me to destroy a mountain for you? I can destroy as many mountains as you want. I am a strong and mighty dragon!"

Pulled out of his thoughts by the conversation, Cale just lightly pet Raon. "Make sure you and your siblings don't get hurt."

Happy that Cale was talking to them, even though the action felt more mechanical than it had ever done, the kids cuddled up to him. Hiding their pain was difficult because, frankly, they had no idea how to manage it, but they knew that out of everyone in the hall, Cale himself was probably taking this worst.

So until he was done processing it all and making his peace with his past, the others would make sure that he wouldn't be distracted by anything else. They will talk and act like they always did, in hopes that the unchanged surroundings would soothe Cale's already shocked senses.
