“Who prepared this?”

Kim Min Ah looked at Cale.

"How did you know the Prince would eat all that? It's possible that he would have been suspicious of you even more and kicked you out of the Palace. That would have made the test more difficult for you."

It was a rational argument, Fredo considered but from what he had seen of Cale Henituse and Alberu Crossman, he was certain that Cale Henituse's calculations about the Prince's possible reactions were more trustworthy.

Sure enough, Cale didn't even have a slight look of uncertainty on his face as he replied. "I had understood the workings of the Palace in the short time I had been in this world. I knew what kind of behaviour made His Highness cautious and which one would get swept under the rug. I just had to make him interested in my motives, the rest of the things would fall into place one by one."

Cale responded brightly to Alberu who asked with a stiff expression on his face.

“I did, your highness!”

It was so bright it almost seemed radiant.

Choi Han winced as he noticed Cale's on screen persona don the infamous 'Crown Prince Smile' which would have normally made him look suspicious.

Cale continued speaking to Alberu who was unable to understand this situation at all.

“The Chief of Staff left me in charge of this palace so I plan on working hard to meet his expectations. Your highness.”

He then smiled with a clueless look on his face as if he didn’t know anything.

The attendants from the king's kitchen seemed to be at a loss for words while looking at that face.

‘I like this face too.’

It was a strong weapon that Cale had never considered. This kind of look was useful too.

"That's true." Cale lightly stroked his chin as he glanced at Kim Rok Soo. "That body had a pretty intimidating look once I grew up and joined the Company. But my current face is sharp and elegant. Having a clueless face was wonderful for scamming people."

The last part of the speech was whispered softly but the experts and powerful people in the hall heard him, making them question their hearing.

“Ha!”

Alberu scoffed as if he finally understood before laughing as he sat down at the table. He then picked up his fork.

Peek. He peeked toward Cale before he started eating and mumbled to himself.

“This is going to make the Chief of Staff go crazy.”

He considered a few things in his mind before nonchalantly commenting to Cale while keeping his gaze on the food.

“Do whatever you want.”

"...Your Highness, I hope you no longer go around telling your servants to do what they want. They could rob you of everything one day by twisting your words."

"It's fine. Cale has robbed me enough times to make me hyper self aware of the state and security of my finances."

Alberu didn't specify what this attendant was to do as he pleased. However, he couldn’t help but look at the attendant after hearing this response.
