The younger party members are sitting in the gym waiting for Johnathan and Nancy to come back. It's been a while since they left, and they haven't returned. Mike looks down to see Eleven still resting on Zero. While Dustin and Lucas are staring off into space Mike sighs and walks out of the gym to the hallways. They're not there so he walks outside.
Mike: Nancy? Johnathan?
The cars are not there.
Mike: Dammit.
He walks back to the gym in a rush.
Mike: They're gone.
Dustin: What?
Mike: Nancy and Johnathan. His car' gone.
Dustin: They're probably just sucking face somewhere.
Lucas: Gross.
Mike: No. No way!
El: If the situation was different maybe. Did they go with the chief?
Mike: I don't know.
Zero: No.
Mike: What? Did you see them? Do you know where they went?
Zero: They went to fight the Demogorgon.
Mike: Guys, guys! This is crazy. We can't just wait around.
Dustin: Mike, in case you forgot, we're still fugitives.
Lucas: The bad men are still looking for us.
El: Yeah, and we don't even know where your sister is.
Mike: You two can find them.
Dustin: Mike, look at them. I still think we should stick to the chief's plan.
Lucas: Exactly. We stay here, keep El and Zero out of sight and keep them especially Zero safe.
El: That's the most important thing, remember? Besides, she's okay. She's with Johnathan.
Dustin: Yeah, and she's kind of a badass now, so...
Dustin walks away.
Mike: Well, where are you going? You just said stick to the plan!
Dustin: I am. I'm just gonna go get some chocolate pudding. I'm telling you, Lunch Lady Phyllis hoards that shit.
Mike: Are you serious?
Dustin: They need to be recharged!
Mike: Wait up.
Mike runs after with Lucas following.
*LOCATION CHANGE*
We see the Byers house where Nancy and Johnathan are preparing to kill the Demogorgon.
Nancy: Did you hear that?
Johnathan: It's just the wind. Don't worry. My mom, she said the lights speak when it comes.
Nancy: Speak?
Johnathan: Blink. Think of them as alarms. Is that too tight?
Nancy: No, it's fine. Thanks.
Johnathan: Nancy?
Nancy: Yeah?
She doesn't get to speak as there's banging on the door.
Steve: Johnathan? Are you there, man? It's... its's Steve! Listen, I just want to talk!
Steve's outside as the banging in the door continues. Nancy doesn't waste a second to open the door but only poking her head and hand out.
