"See you guys later." Belly says as I look at her confused.

"Where are you going?" I ask.

"The movies." She says with a smile.

"Holy shit same." I say smiling at her.

"Damn!" Jere says looking at Belly.

"Are you kidding? No." Steven says as Jere just made him loose. "Yeah, fine, just abandon
the game completely, Jere."

"You... look... hot." He says spinning Belly around.

"Hey, hey, hey, stop flirting with my sister." Steven says as he then looks at me. His mouth opens slightly as he looks at me in aw.

"Shut up, Steven." Belly says.

"Well, you look good, though." He tells Belly as he gets up off the couch and walks over to me.

"You driving with, or are you meeting us there?" Jere asks us.

"We're not going to the book party." I say as the boys look at us confused.

"I'm going to the drive-in." Belly says with a smile.

"So am I." I say smiling.

"With who?" Steven asks us.

"Uh, okay. Bye." Belly says after reading a text. She exits the house leaving me with the boys.

"Spill." Conrad says.

"She's going with Cameron and I'm going with Ethan." I say smiling.

"You really like Ethan?" Jere asks.

"I don't know." I say shrugging dropping my smile. "He's cute but, boring."

"Good, cause I think you need to be with someone else." Jere says smirking at me.

"Shut up." I say laughing as my phone vibrates.

Im here :)

"I have to go." I say walking out of the house. I see Ethan in his car as I open the door and get in.

"What movie are we seeing?" I ask.

"Uh, it's some old movie called, uh, Sabrina." Ethan says starting the car.

"Audrey Hepburn? Two brothers? That Sabrina?" I ask.

"I think, so. Yeah." He says.

"Yeah? I-I love that movie." I say with a smile.

"It got really great reviews." He answers as we pull out of the driveway.

We sit in his car watching the movie. I look over at him as he looks over at me so I quickly look away.

"Are you sure you don't want something to drink or...?" He politely asks.

"Yeah, I'm okay, thanks." I answer with a smile.

I hated this. It was the worst. Are all first dates like this? I want someone I can laugh with and make jokes with.

I don't like Ethan they way I thought I did.

It just wasn't Steven.

I look over and see Jere's jeep with the boys and Belly. "Uhm Ethan, I don't think this is gonna work." I say.

"Oh, uhm." He says confused.

"Sorry." I say as I get out of the car as walk over to the others.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" Belly says pissed.

"Uh, just catching the end of our favorite movie." Steven says laughing.

"You have no right! You have to go!" Belly says.

"Oh, Belly, relax. We-we were just joking around." Jere says.

"Steven, if you don't leave, I swear to God
I will send everyone in this car your Dramione fanfic." Belly threatens.

"You wouldn't." He says.

"Oh, he spent an entire chapter talking about Draco's wand." Belly tells us.

"You know, don't be embarrassed, man. Draco's hot." I tell Steven as they look at me confused.

"Where's your date?" Steven asks me.

"I just told him it wasn't gonna work out and now I really wanna get out of here. So could we please leave Belly alone and go home." I ask not in the mood to argue.

"Get in." Conrad says as I get into the car.

"Bye Belly, have fun." I say as we drive away.

"Where are you going?" I ask Steven as he walks down the stairs.

"To go see Shayla." He answers quietly.

"Right." I say as I turn around.

"What is your problem?" He asks me.

"I don't have a problem." I say shrugging.

"You went silent on everyone. You totally ghosted me." He says upset.

"I'm sorry." I say quietly.

"I just wanna know why?" He asks as our faces are now inches apart. I look in his eyes then down at his lips. My breath hitches as I realize our lips are centimeters away from touching.

"Shayla is probably waiting." I manage to say as he backs up.

"Right." He says as he turns around and walks out the door.

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

I almost just kissed Steven Conklin.

The guy I've liked sense I was a kid.

Holy shit.

769 words! Uhm yea, maybe this won't be a slow burn.
