Chapter 22

"I knew you would be here", A voice said from behind me. I turned around to see my so called mother, Aurora. "Aurora, what do you want?". She smiled at me. "Mr Wayne has threatened my boyfriend, Mason", Aurora said to me. "Wait! You know~", i replied shocked. "Yes, i know that Bruce Wayne is Batman. I have been running from enemies which i needed to develop a high IQ for",Aurora began saying, "and i am still running", she finished. "From who?". "I have stayed away from you for all these years as to not lore my enemies to you. I have gave you one power from your bundle of them in this very wall. That power is to heal so you can heal easily without getting hurt". That makes alot more sense! I feel bad though, she didn't leave me on purpose. She is being chased where ever she goes. "I know i am a stranger to you, but we can trust eachother. I just don't want to put you into any danger"."I know that, but your my mother after all", I told her. She smiled at me again. "Ask me anything, you deserve to know", She said. My eyes lit up. I could find out anything. "W-What does the~", i stopped talking when i saw a black figure behind Aurora and then it disappeared. "They here! Run now. I will handle it", Aurora yelled. I did as i was told, but instead of leaving, i hid behind the cave wall to see the action. "You really think you could outrun me", a male voice spoke. A black smoke gathered in one spot, then a man emerged from it. The man had jet black hair, he was dressed well. "I don't know what my brother saw in you",he said. "All you see is power. That's why your after us", Aurora said. Who is us? "I dont know what spell you blessed your daughter with, but i will find her. She has know clue of the prophecy which makes it even easier for me",the man chuckled. Aurora glared at him. "You will never get my child!". The man grinned , "Then i will just have to get you", he laughed. A light blue aura consumed Aurora, her eyes were the same color. She charged at him with her blue flames. The man turned into smoke. As soon as he turned into his human figure, Aurora broke his neck with her hands. The man fell to the ground. I stepped out of my hiding spot and stared at her. "He will wake up in a couple hours, we need to go now. I need to get away from you. I cannot lead you to him!" Aurora said hurriedly. She grabbed my hand. Running towards the cave opening, Aurora took the key out and the opening closed. "You can't just leave! What was that, tell me. What did he mean the prophecy? Were you'll talking about me?", i rambled. "I can't explain now okay. I need to leave. If you want to know more, go to this address. Please take care of yourself", Aurora said in a hurry. She caressed my cheek with her thumb. She stepped back away from me and into the graveyard. I watched her skeptically
Suddenly, she abruptly rips the necklace that hung on her neck and threw it onto the ground. A fire rose around her. "Goodbye Lucy, take care of yourself and your future...infant", Aurora said before the fire swallowed her. She disappeared into thin air, the flames burnt her in seconds. I saw it. I saw my real mother die. I bent down and reached for her necklace
I grabbed it. A shock went through me, like a jolt of electricity . I felt so light, almost like a leaf. My eyes burned for a mere second. Tears pooled in my eyes. Why? Why did she do this? I feel bad because all her life, she was running from that guy. Turns out the cave didn't answer everything. I felt something vibrate in my pocket. It was my phone. Damian was calling me... I pushed the tears back quickly. I answered the call and then sat on a park bench. "Beloved! I am so worried. Are you okay? I couldn't find you", Damian spoke immediately. I smiled, he wasn't angry, his tone sounded worried or concerned. "I'm fine love...",i said unsure of my own words. "What's wrong. You sound stressed", Damian said. I sighed, he knew me too well, huh. "Too much to explain over a call. I don't want to come back to the manor yet, can you meet me?", I asked. "I'm on my way, love", he said. God, i folded for that. Why does he have to sound so hot?! "Wait, how do you know where i am?", i questioned. "I've put a tracker on you...it's somewhere". I rolled my eyes, "I will look for it!", i exclaimed. "I'll be waiting, bye blueberry". I could hear him sigh, "Sure, you keep calling me blueberry. When your birthday comes, I'll have you call me something else or maybe scream it". I blushed so hard, i probably looked like a red tomato."Shut up! Right bye now. I love youuuu", i said. "I love you too, Lucy", he said. I hung up and made my way to the coffee shop. Damian has placed his tracker on me so he will find me.
Time skip~
Damian Pov
I was on my way to see Lucy. I was relieved that she was okay. "Where are you going, little d", Grayson blocked my path. I ignored his presence and continued my way out. I jumped into my car. I hope nothing happened to Lucy, she seemed upset.
Narrator's Pov
"Dami!", Lucy said happily. She basically squeezed Damian in the coffee shop. "Missed me already, beloved", Damian chuckled, but he returned the hug. Damian could feel something wet on his jacket. He looked down to see Lucy shedding tears. Damian's heart broke at the sight. He embraced Lucy and quickly led her to the car. He dropped her off in the front seat, after he got in the drivers seat. It was nearly dark. Lucy was away for quite some time. "What happened?", Damian asked softly. He stroked Lucy's hand. Tears were just rolling down Lucy's cheeks. She explained to him what had happened today while crying. "Oh love, come here", Damian cooed. From their separate seats, they both embraced. Once Lucy had calmed down, Damian started to drive. Damian could tell that Lucy was cold. She was wearing a tank top and a thin band workout shorts. Damian parked the car on the curve, he switched it off. "What's wrong?", Lucy asked. Damian pulled off his hoodie. The shirt that he was wearing under lifted slightly, showing his rock hard abs and a little of his impressive v line. Lucy couldn't help, but stare at her boyfriend. "Careful not to drool on the car seat, beloved", Damian teased. Lucy hit his arm slightly making them both laugh. Damian extended his hoodie to Lucy which she gladly accepted. "Hmmm it smells like you", Lucy cheered. Damian chuckled and started up the car again. "Let's take a drive", Damian suggested. "Sure,oooooh, can we listen to slow down", Lucy chimed. "By Chase Atlantic", Damian checked. Lucy nodded.
Time skip~
It had been a short amount of time that past. Lucy was knocked out in the passengers seat already. Right here by Chase Atlantic was currently playing while Lucy slept. "I love you, Lucy", Damian whispered. Lucy was fast asleep though. He turned down the music a bit. He turned a right heading in the direction of the manor. "I love you too, dami".
