"Everything alright, Kayley? You seem out of it..."

"Huh? Oh um.." I coughed before looking down into my empty cauldron, I was meant to be making a potion but instead I was staring at the back of Draco's head.

Seamus rolled his eyes as Dean laughed, "here, Kayley," Dean handed over his ingredients and I quickly got to work. Thank god it was double potions.

"Thanks," I whispered.

"What's going on?" Seamus lowered his voice.

"Nothing," I shook my head.

"Order stuff?" I had told him about my part in the Order after he heard Harry and Ron talking about it one night. What point was there in lying to Finnigan? Harry and I were on decent terms but Hermione refused to talk to me. I needed all the friends I could get.

"Yeah, now just drop it," I hushed him. "ahh!" I jumped back as my cauldron over flowed and the contents spilled out onto my table.

"Here," Draco waved his wand as Seamus and Dean backed away. "Stop being so clumsy, will you?" He muttered.

I looked at him, my mouth slightly opened, "I'll try..."

Draco gave a small smile before grabbiny my left hand and leaving a piece of paper in my palm I looked down to see a crumpled parchment.

Stay after class, I want to talk.

Draco

I couldn't help but smile as I read over the parchment, he wanted to talk to me?! He hasn't spoken to me since the first day of school, unless you count my cat version....

"Kayley?"

I looked up, Dean and Seamus were looking at me curiously, "it's nothing, guys."

"So library tonight?" Dean asked.

"I'll have to leave before nine but yes," I nodded.

Seamus gave a knowing smile as Dean nodded.

For the rest of the lesson, I didn't pay attention to a word Seamus or Dean said to me and I ruined my potion three more times. All because I was staring at the back of Draco's head. I sighed...what was I going to do now that he was part of them? Maybe he can't turn back...

"Kayley!" I turned to see Draco motioning me toward him, I passed Blaise as he left the room and gave a small nod.

"Draco...what do you want?" I asked uncertainly.

"How're you?" He smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes that were surrounded with horrible black bags. His cheeks were slightly sunken and his skin was paler than ever before.

"Draco...what's going on?" I whispered, half knowing exactly what it was.

He took my hand without a word and we quickly made our way through the throng of students until we were on the seven corridor, he walked before the tapestry before pulling me into the room. I didn't get a chance to look around before Draco pulled me into a hug and began to cry.

"Draco...what's going on?" I whispered.

"I can't fail him...but I'm scared...he'll kill me.." he continued to sob.

"Draco..." I pushed away, he was wiping his eyes.

"I'm sorry for pushing you away, I didn't want to hurt you. But...there's something you need to know." He whispered as he back away from me, he removed his robe and began to roll up his left sleeve.

I closed my eyes, not wanting to see the mark, not wanting to accept it. "Kayley, I need you to see this."

"I don't want to, Draco," I shook my head.
