The silence in the room was suffocating.

There Marcello was, lifeless.

Leonardo stopped breathing for a moment as Marcello's skin lost its olive color.

"N-no. N-NO! FUCK!" Leonardo shouted angrily.

Mina gasped at the scene in front of her.

Leonardo killed for her.

Just like he said he would.

"SHIT! I K-KILLED HIM! I KILLED HIM B-BELLA, I KILLED H-HIM!" Leonardo cried.

Though Mina was frightened by Marcello only moments before, she quickly walked over to his lifeless body and pulled Leonardo aside.

The second Mina moved Leonardo away from Marcello, Leonardo sobbed into her chest.

Even though Marcello did something unforgivable, Leonardo felt like a traitor.

He murdered someone in the De Luca Mafia.

He murdered, a brother.

The sound of the gunshot rang through Leonardo's ears second after second as Mina held onto his body in comfort.

Dozens of people rushed into the Diamond room upon hearing the gunshot, including Emiliano and Salvatore.

"WHAT HAPPENED?" Salvatore gasped.

Emiliano's heart dropped as he laid eyes on Marcello.

He glanced at Leonardo, who was huddled in Mina's arms in tears.

"L-Leo? You did not. TELL ME YOU DID NOT!" Emiliano said tearfully.

Leonardo tensed and remained quiet.

If his family found out, he'd be disowned, no matter how much they loved him.

The entire De Luca mafia would protest against Leonardo if they found out that he murdered his beloved right hand man.

Leonardo stared into Mina's eyes for comfort.

For the first time in a really long time, Leonardo hated himself.

So very much.

Mina's eyes watered as Leonardo's teary brown eyes looked into hers.

His eyes screamed in pain, disbelief, and regret.

Though Mina truly did feel bad, she didn't care much for Marcello.

He tried taking away her dignity.

And for that, Mina would never forgive him.

"A-Amina?" Leonardo mumbled.

"Yes?" Mina gently replied.

"I want to go home."

Mina cocked an eyebrow in confusion as Leonardo spoke.

They were home.

Weren't they?

"We are home Leo. I know it doesn't feel like it, but we'll make it work." Mina said softly.

Leonardo tensed and shook his head before hugging Mina tight.

"You're my home. Don't l-leave me, o-okay? Please stay." Leonardo cried.

Mina's heart tightened at Leonardo's words.

This whole situation felt familiar.

So very familiar.

"Never. I'm by your side forever." Mina cooed.
