She slipped through the door and collapsed against the wall, "Made it."
No more than five minutes later Frypan and Chuck arrived.
"We're stuffing our beds and leaving in shifts in case," Chuck said as he sat at the table.
Frypan nodded, "What's this all about?"
"I'll start talking when everyone is here," Newt replied.
"It has to do with Thomas?" Molly asked.
"Yes it does," Daniel replied.
Minho and Winston ran in. Normally Newt scolds them for not knocking but these were special circumstances.
We made it," Winston sat on the crate we kept in the corner of the place for storage.
Newt sat on the edge of our bed with me, "Alright we gotta make this quick. Thomas coming here is no coincidence, agreed?"
"Agreed," Everyone replied.
"Okay so now we gotta choose," I said. "We have two sides forming here. Gally, those who want to keep things going as they are, or Thomas. Who obviously wants to get us out of here."
"Well it's obvious for me," Daniel said. "I want out of this trap. I'm with Thomas."
"So are we," Minho grabbed his girlfriend's hand. "We've been discussing this for a few days. Molly and I both agree we want a chance at a life out of this maze."
"I'm with Thomas," Frypan said. "If mans got a way out and a key to freedom why would I turn my back on it?"
"We're with Thomas," I said. "Newt and I decided that from the start. We both want freedom for us and our babies one day."
Newt spoke up, "I just wanted to make sure we were all on the same page."
"I say yeah," Chuck spoke with a small voice. "If we can get out of here why would we say no? That's like having an open door and wanting to sleep in a box."
Molly looked up from where she sat on the floor, "Gally is going to try something."
"He can't win with Newt as leader though," Minho said. "What Newt says goes."
"Yes but I have to go with majority rule," Newt stated in response. "If it comes down to a vote I'm in trouble because I can't choose the same side as Daniel and Zoe. Gally will call me out for bias."
"Unless you vote first," suggested Winston.
Ten minutes later everyone left and crept back to their own beds.
"Do you think Gally suspects anything?" i asked.
Daniel sat down on a chair, "I don't think so. I worked with him this afternoon and all he cares about was getting back to normal."
I wrapped my arms around my stomach and exhaled, "Nothing is normal anymore."
Newt put his arms around and pulled me into him. I sat on his lap with my head resting against his neck. Daniel stood up, "I'm going to bed."
"Good night," I smiled as he walked into the next room.
Newt and I got under the blankets. I sat up, detangled my long hair with my fingers, and put it back into a braid. Newt was staring at me.
"What?" I asked.
He shrugged.
"Babe, what's wrong?" I asked as his eyes misted over.
He wiped his eyes, "Just tired."
"Newt." He shrugged, "Bloody. I thought I was past this."
"Tell me what's wrong," I said and laid down again. I pulled Newt into a hug. He shook.
"Oh babe," I whispered. "Tell me what's wrong."
"Alby." That's all he said.
"I miss him too," I replied gently. "He would be proud of you, know that? He would be proud of how well you're handling this."
"I can't do it like he did."
"No you can't. But you can do it how you do it. Do it how Newt does it not how Alby did it."
Newt was quiet for a few minutes.
"And I am proud of you," I kissed his cheek. Newt crawled on top of me and rested his head on my chest, "I love you."
"I love you too."

The next morning I woke up with a horrible headache. However, there was no time for resting. As soon as my feet hit the floor someone was pounding on the door. I brushed aside the curtain, "Minho?"
"Thomas is awake!" Was all he said before dashing back across the glade.
Newt bolted from our bed and pulled his shirt on. I woke up my brother. The three of us ran to the pit. When we got there Chuck and Minho were sitting outside. Teresa was inside sitting by Thomas.
"Hey man," Daniel smiled. "Welcome back."
"You dang shank! You scared us!" I scolded.
Thomas chuckled, "Newt?"
My husband put his hands on his hips, "Well you slinthead. That was reckless, idiotic, and all round stupid but it's good to have you back mate."
"I remembered a lot," Thomas said.
"Like what?" I sat down on the damp grass outside the pit.
"Well first off the maze. It isn't a maze. It's a test. It all started when we were kids."
"What?" I asked.
"They'd give us these challenges. They were experimenting on us. And then people started disappearing, one after the other. Like clockwork."
Newt looked shook, "Sending them up into the maze."
"Yeah but not all of us," Thomas continued.
"What do you mean?"
"Guys I'm one of them." He looked disturbed. "The people who put you here," He looked over at Minho, Chuck, Daniel, and Newt. "I worked with them. I watched you guys for years. The entire time you've been here I was on the other side of it. So were you," Thomas looked at Teresa and then at me.
"Me?" I asked, feeling totally shaken. "I was one of the creators?"
"No," Thomas replied quickly. "You weren't one of the creators. You worked for them, one of their lab techs. You're just as much a victim as the rest of the subjects."
Teresa snapped out of her froze state, "What?"
"Teresa we did this to them," Greenies eyes flicked to us.
The other girl shook her head in disbelief, "No. It can't be true."
"It is. I saw it."
Newt was looking at me. I shook my head. He smiled and slid closer to me.
"Why would they send us up if we were with them?" Teresa questioned.
"My question exactly," I said.
"It doesn't matter," Thomas answered.
Newt spoke, "He's right." He looked at me, "It doesn't matter. Any of it. The people we were before the maze, they don't exist anymore. These creators took care of that. But what does matter is who we are now."
"The past is in the past," I added on. "We need to focus on the future."
"And what we do right now. You went into the maze and you found a way out!"
"Yeah but if I hadn't Alby would still be alive."
Newt was quiet for a moment. I put my hand on his leg. "Maybe," He said in a sad voice. "But I know that if he were here he would tell you the exact same thing. Pick your butt up and finish what you started. Because if we do nothing, that means Alby died for nothing, I can't have that."
"Okay," Thomas said. "Okay but we gotta get through gally first."
