Weiying put his hand against his jaw and kissed him back. Then he pulled back and offered him a smile. “I think I can get used to it.”

“Good, because I’m not going to stop.”

Lanzhan pulled back and turned away to turn off the lamp. Weiying turned off hims as well, and when he settled back down, Lanzhan snaked his arm around him waist and pulled him close to him, kissing the back of him head. Weiying sank into him, enjoying the closeness of the body heat he had felt at him back for weeks now.

“I can get used to this too,” he murmured.

He squeezed him gently for a moment. “I’ve been wanting to do this for weeks.”

“I wished you would have.”

“Me too. But better late than never, I guess.”

Weiying yawned again, and he felt his lips on his hair.

“Get some sleep, love,” he murmured softly.

he didn’t have to be told twice.

Weiying awoke to mid-morning sun streaming in through the windows. For a moment, he was disoriented, until he remembered everything that had transpired yesterday. He had barely sat up before the bedroom door opened and Lanzhan entered, already dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, bearing a tray loaded with food.

Weiying smiled in disbelief. “Breakfast in bed?”

Lanzhan smiled back at him as he set the tray over his lap and sat down at the foot of the bed. He took in the plate of eggs, bacon, and toast, as well as the steaming mug of coffee, and let out a content sigh.

“Well, yeah,” Lanzhan replied with a smile. “If you thought I made a great fake fiancé, just wait until you see the real thing.”

Weiying smiled heartily as he picked up the cup of coffee and took a drink. Then he looked up at Lanzhan with a curious frown.

“What time is it?” he asked him.

“About...ten, I think?” Lanzhan replied.

he gaped at him. “Seriously? Why didn’t you wake me up?”

“Well, I didn’t feel like getting throat-punched—”

“That was one time! ”

“—and did you know that you literally sleep like the dead?” Lanzhan grinned at him.

Weiying huffed out a breath. “Shut up. What time did you get up?”

“Early enough to take a shower and make you breakfast,” he remarked cheekily, and he scowled playfully at him.

Weiying scooped a bite of egg onto his fork. “So, what’s the plan for today?”

“I thought we could go into town,” Lanzhan told him with a shrug. “It’s very much a tourist trap, but it has a nice shopping center. Maybe you can find some souvenirs. Then we can come back, maybe hit the beach if you want.”

Weiying let out a dreamy sigh. “The beach. I haven’t been on a Gusu lan beach  that wasn’t covered in ice in...forever.”

Lanzhan leaned over, mindful of the tray, and kissed his cheek. “Then eat up. You can take a shower, then we can leave.” He stood up then.

“Where are you going?” Weiying asked.

“I’m just gonna go clean up the kitchen. Come downstairs when you’re ready.”
