Sometimes I see you looking over, but you snap your head back in those moments of weakness
No one can know it was me you were watching
Your instincts lately had me guessing your every move
It was driving me crazy, but not like how you would assume
I was mad you couldn't dare to compliment me when you could every other girl
but I guess that just shows how you felt
For once, I thought I looked pretty, the way this dress fit my body with a slit up my knee
I know you noticed, even if you didn't say a thing
Your best friend said I was nobody and I stupidly confided in you that night
That's when you finally said something
How I looked stunning tonight
But why could you only say it through text?
I wanted you to look me in the eyes and give in
