Komaeda took a photo of Kenichi. He was wearing the school uniform since today would be his first day at the new school.

"Alright, I'm done. Here's your lunchbox." He handed him the box. Komaeda had prepared the food with a lot of love and care.

Hinata hurried towards Komaeda, putting on his tie. He gave him a quick kiss and ruffled Kenichi's hair. "I'll see you later, honey. I hope you have a great day at school, Kenichi." He then left for work.

Komaeda reached out to the little boy, who hesitantly grabbed his hand. "I-I'm a bit nervous,"

"Everything's gonna be okay. I'll take good care of you,"

-

"Good morning, everyone!"

"Hinata-sensei, you're back!" A little girl said.

"Yes," Komaeda said. "I'm back. And I brought a new friend with me. How about you introduce yourself?"

Kenichi looked at the class. "My name is H-Hinata Kenichi. Nice to meet you,"

"Hinata?" A boy asked. "Is he your son?"

The pale man nodded. "That's right,"

"Woah, that's so cool!"

After Kenichi sat down, Komaeda began the lesson.

"Hinata-senei, where were you last week?" A girl asked.

"I was on a honeymoon,"

"What's that?"

"It's a vacation you go on after you get married," He explained.

"You got married??"

Komaeda chuckled. "Mhm. That was a while ago though. My husband's brother gave us a ticket to a nice hotel, so that's why we only went now,"

"That's a cool brother!" The girl grinned. "Can you show us your husband?"

"Hm... isn't it 'bring your parents to school' day soon? I'm sure Kenichi will bring my husband then since you guys already know what I do for work. But now you guys should go back to practicing reading, okay?"

"But my mommy doesn't have time to go to school and I don't have a daddy!" A boy said.

"Then she doesn't have to come. I understand it if your parents are busy, there's no need to stress about it,"

-

Komaeda and Kenichi got home together. "So, did you have fun?"

"Mhm. Tsukasa-kun was nice to me. And the breakfast you made was really yummy,"

"I'm happy you liked it! I'll make lunch now. You should do your homework and then you can go play, alright? If you need help, you can always ask me,"

"Mhm." Kenichi got out his books and pencils and began his homework.

Komaeda decided to make curry. He loved it as a kid, so he was sure Kenichi would too. The little boy couldn't wait to eat a full meal until the evening like Komaeda, so he would have to cook twice in one day from now on. He also had to make lunchboxes for Kenichi. That would take up a lot of time... he should talk about it to Hinata later.

A few hours later, Kenichi was playing in his room with his door open a bit. Komaeda heard him.

"Awesome man will defeat you!" He yelled. "Noooo! He can't! I'm the super evil villain malicious boy! You can't defeat me! Hahaha!!"

Komaeda chuckled. Kenichi was adorable.

"Pew pew pew!! Boom!"

The door opened and Hinata stepped into the house. "Honey, I'm home!" He called out. Kenichi got up and ran towards him.

"Daddy, I missed you!"

Hinata was surprised to say the least. Then he grinned and crouched down to hug his son. "I missed you too, buddy. How was school?"

"It was nice! Papa made such a yummy breakfast!"

"Yeah, he's a very talented chef, isn't he?"

"Totally! He made dinner for you, I think,"

The brunet got up and kissed Komaeda. "Hey, babe. How was work?"

Komaeda put his head on the other man's shoulder. "Mmh... work was good. I love you..."

Hinata rubbed his back. "I love you too,"

"I'm so tired..."

The brunet took the other man's hands into his own and massaged them. "Maybe you should go to bed early. I'll take care of Kenichi and everything else,"

"Maybe I should... hm... I'll go take a shower first,"

"Mhm." Hinata kissed his forehead and Komaeda left. The brunet sat down at the table and ate the dinner Komaeda made for him.

"Daddy?" Kenichi asked, walking up to him.

"Yeah?"

"Do you wanna be a hero?"

"A hero? Why do you ask?"

"I read a book today... There was a boy who said his daddy was a superhero. Do you feel like you're a hero? Or are you a hero?"

"I don't know that. Maybe someone sees me as a hero, but I don't think I'd call myself that,"

"What's your job?"

"I'm a lawyer,"

"What's that?"

"Well, when the police says someone did a bad thing, I defend that person,"

Kenichi tilted his head. "Why do you do that?"

"Because sometimes the police have the wrong person. Or maybe they didn't do it because they're evil, but because they had to do it to survive. In those cases, I have to do my best to show the judge they don't deserve a harsh punishment,"

"Hm. Then maybe you're a hero to those people,"

"Maybe. I think I'd like that. I mean, I want to help people no one is willing to defend,"

"Maybe you're awesome man," Kenichi said, eyes sparkling. "Papa said I have to bring you to school soon because we have to tell the class about our parents' jobs,"

"Sure, I wouldn't mind that,"

The little boy gave a thumbs up. "Okey dokey,"

Hinata chuckled and ruffled his hair. "How about you go brush your teeth and change into your pajamas?"

"Mhm. Bye bye!" He ran into his room.
